3 movies, 3 sequels, 1 winner....

Movie #1

Movie #2

Movie #3

And the winner (IMHO...In My Honest Opinion) is.....drum rolls please...
*brrrrrrrrrrr
*gong sounding
The Bourne Ultimatum!!
Hooo yes! Action packed shooting scenes! Those brutally cruel cold blooded killings. I mean silencing of assholes. I am not quite a fan of the dead and I do not celebrate death. In fact, I am a pretty peaceable guy. More like a pacifist. I think killing wastes God's talent. But this is a SHOW!! A Hollywood scam. So why not enjoy it to the fullest? I would give 10 points to this show out of 10 without even having a peek at the trailer. The "yeng"ness of the cold and calculated kills he "bestows" upon his asshole former co-workers who wanted to resurrect the Treadstone Project. All in all, the first 2 were such good watches I would bet my facial hair on the third to be a major blockbuster...(not that I have THAT much facial hair...)
Do not disappoint me Matt Damon.

Okok. Pirates are the ones I am also rooting for. They come second. Though I guarantee you that Bloom is gonna be as gay as all the previous Pirate films he made. He hardly seemed like a heterosexual even when he was going to marry Knightley aka Elizabeth Swan. What gay antics. The shirt half ripped in the rain in Pirates 2. Jumping into the water clothes yet again half ripped during the destruction of the "fastest ship in the Caribbean" when they tried to blow up Mr. Squid. Depp was far a better actor and still is compared to Bloom. Check out who's older in the entertainment industry. Rating of 9 for the action and 0 for 1 particular actor that Jia Min is sooo fond of.

Last but not least of the sequels, Shrek 3. I kept spelling it Schreck 3 when I was Googling the movie for picture posters. For all it's despised saccharine-ness (IMHO) it is still a pretty great watch. I mean the first 2 ones. Dunno about this third. And yes, I will not be betting my facial hair on it.

Do any of you know the actual reason I am betting my facial hair? Because I got my inspiration from a guy named Zachary Hon. he came up to us (RTG) and asked this stupid question and answered it himself that fateful day.

"Do any of you ever consider shaving all your facial and body hair?"
Nobody answered naturally.

His answer:"I do. I want to shave all my body hair so I can look like a reptile."
Haha. Yeah, go ahead. Next thing we know you would be asking whether it will be alright to shave ur pubic hair or something. Wait. That comes under body hair doesn't it Zach? All of it has to go in order for you to look like a reptile.

P.S.
If you are reading this, I thank you sooo much for giving me the inspiration to type it out. Now, march to the bathroom with those pair of shears.

Dont tell me Ill tell u...

Not much to blog about but this:
See, last Sunday, us peeps went to Jusco. Ok. That was after church in the morning (the old faithful...), Sungei Wang and finally at the aforementioned location. Just to shop for groceries. Unfortunately we went there at a "mega sale". Meaning, all J-card holders get a discounted price as the store is trying to clear up their stocks. Malaysians, being the suckers we are, rush headlong into the fray attempting to secure a great "discount" not actually knowing that some stores actually cheat the customers by upping the price discreetly. You know what I mean.

We were running out of trolleys! It was utter chaos there. Humans swarmed around all seemingly bent on the task of "securing a good deal". Like I said, no trolleys to push your stuff along. I was entrusted with the job of finding us a trolley. Being the genius I was, I strolled outside to where people are unloading their bags of stuff into their cars, thus leaving empty, usable trolleys. Great deal, I thought. I saw a trolley about to be pushed away from the car. Animal instincts kicking in, I rushed to it. Ok. An old man who must have been the family's father or something came wheeling the trolley in. "Ok. I am gonna take over from here," I thought. Speaking in Canton, a rare occasion, I asked to have the trolley as I needed it and safely assumed they stopped using it. Then surprise. Below is a translated version of the events that ensued.

"Hey, you done with that already? I need to use it. Just give it to me thanks."

"What? You are a worker here? Nono. I am not done with it."

"But I thought you had used it finish."

"Who the heck do you think I am? A worker here? I need to use it too..."

"Ok...sorry...*sheesh..."

As the guy entered the store, he was greeted by a needy looking wife and son who was nonchalantly listening to some mp3 player. They were desperate but so was I. What could I have done??

Still. I feel thankful I have not gone too far on the kiasu attitude. This guy actually helped the other family lug in their goods so that he would be able to get the trolley. We Malaysians help with the enthusiasm of a work ox if we are guaranteed some profits. Other times when it does not seem to benefit us in any way, we leave it as it is until someone begs for our help.

Take for instance a pregnant woman in a public bus or train. She walks into the carriage and is forced to stand because people do not wish to give up their seat. Not even one of the adults offer their seat, save for a little girl. What does this woman have to do huh? Come into the carriage and shout an offer of ten bucks for someone to offer their seat? I guarantee you, almost everyone's self honour is that low a price to buy. Why not offer your seat before she asks?

On to today. I was forced to play the part of Tzu Ken in our choral speaking because he went for chess. It was pretty funny actually. Boonz is like that tall. And I am like, that tall. We were supposed to look down at Tzu Ken and up at Boonz to differentiate between them both but since Tzu Ken is not there, I had to squat a little for people to look at me. After all, rehearsals are supposed to look real. So I had to be as short as Tzu Ken..:P

We learnt this Garage Band thingy and you know what happens when people like Lek and Kel discover those Arabic or Hindi sounding tunes. Yes they ask Dharma to dance to the beat. As an insult. "Eh Dharma! Indian!" The phrase "You're fired!" comes next.
At first the phrase was "You're fired to me already." But he seemed to have shortened it.

This is the last post of this month and mebbe next month. Bleeding exams. Played dota a little and hated it. So bored already playing with the stupid AI.

That shirt is not dry. That one is smelly. Wash it again.

A stupid title. Randomness at it's best.

Today was crammed with assessments.

I was stationed in the lobby this morning with Michelle and Mr. Loy who was shouting to people to tap in their cards. Do these things actually need to be told to students? Stuff like "Please pick up your plates" and "Please tap in!!!"(ala Loy-Seng-Poh style) need not be mentioned to humans. Like how Mr Wan says "Semua manusia....." meaning only humans can understand and carry out these "tasks". I have nothing to say for those who choose not to do these fundamentally understood tasks. Orang bukan manusia. What a contradiction.

Then Puan Rok decided to surprise us with a test. Ok. Everyone thought it was a test. But how could it be? It was meant for Form 4SC2 and it's stated there on the paper. Rupa-rupanya we were actually doing disposed questions which meant that they were extras. And the plus point is, it is not an assessment. Bummer. Chee June was yelling "HAH???!!!" when she saw the paper. We usually expect the same people to say and complain about the same things. Looks like I was right. "Ahh nonono. Aiyah sure fail wan ah. I veli stupid wan." Guess who said that.

During the first 15 minutes of the Sejarah paper, Mr Rama was talking some stuff about sex and freedom of sexual speech and crap. Kelvin was going on and on about Malaysians being the most satisfied people on the planet because of sex. 40% Malaysians are satisfied about their sex life. Some smartass also quoted some crap about Japanese having the least pleasure and satisfaction about their sex life. They could sue me for writing this. Who says history and sex don't mix?

Mr Khoo took it in his stride to provide us with the formulae of electricity and stuff. Yet I did not manage to finish all the questions. Piss. Thank God Adenan rescheduled his assessment for next week. I hardly had enough time to study for Physics and play some comp games at the same time. Of course I prioritised. Comp games first.

Bio was hilarious. Jammy told us all not to copy but even if we did we are cheating to ourselves and I quote "menipu diri sendiri" and she still took it in her stride to tell us to shut our text and reference books. The duty of a teacher is never finished. She even cared if we cheated ourselves!! Sob! I feel so touched and you should too....haha. At least she was not like Miss Lim. I will tell you about that in the after the next 1 paragraph.

Ms Ranjita or Rajita or howver you spell her name was supposed to come to our class to help us with our choral speaking. Alas she never made it within a kilometer of our class. She wanted to see ("speak to" people..."SPEAK TO" NOT SEEEE!!! "Can I please see so-and-so?" yeah sure. but you are not allowed to speak to him/her. hah!) Kelvin and later he could not find her. Now who's seeing who? So no choral speaking practice. And it is on the 12th of May if I am not mistaken. We Malaysians are last minute people. That reminds me. Mr Wan wants the Laporan Kerja Amal on dunno when. Oh well.

After finishing my omelette with chinese sausages and salad and rice meal for lunch, and after that silly little mixup on who sees who, came Miss Lim's lesson. Assessment time. What joy.
I screwed up a little on the answer and guess what? I am the 1st person to get the lowest marks in the whole form. 77%. Oh joy. Please be more careful next time bub....and of course I did not get away with it that easily. She accused me of being cocky "Who ask you to be so action and talk so much with your friends? See now you get lauya results. So lauya want ah you." HAHAHA! damnit. It is really funny to get scolded by this teacher. Do not ask me why. Ask Kelvin. Oh yeah and do not forget to remind him to "say something stupid Kel..".

I love the sound of an organ.

sniff...

Had sports on Friday. It was such a blast...I mean literally. At first we went and fetched Yin Lin and went to the Cheras Football Stadium. We were supposed to climb up a mini "bukit" and jump over a little drain and Yin Lin was screaming her head off about being scared and all that. What a joke. It took her more than 5 seconds to convince herself that my sis and I made it over and were sauntering to the complex and she should buck up or be left behind. Haiah. So lauya.

Did the prefect march pass. It was the lamest march I ever took part in. Zero coordination. What a last minute affair. To cut the long story short, it was so hot that day and I was standing in the field trying to determine whether people were disqualified or not during the track events. In short, I was Mr. Umpire for the day. Went back in Lek's C-class Mercs. With an aching back of course.

Today was no better. To replace the aching back, I had a nasal problem. Sneezing like some idiot. During the WHOLE day. Oh yeah, and Keegan took my calculator. For the weekend and I got it back only today. Being without a calculator while doing Add Maths is like waltzing around naked. That was the point I passed on to him, much to his disbelieve and he said that I could share the calculator with my sis. What an ASS. I want bebola soup now Jia Min!!!!

*achoo

I feel that now I must start all blog titles with curse words but then again, my mom would say I hav great vocab, why waste ur talent? for fun...

What a disastrous morning. Got all sweaty in my prefect uniform and arrived at school. Thank goodness it was just 8 flights of stairs to get to my class. That's quite near is it not? After taking a million steps to the 4th floor, I am greeted by really colourful classmates. In house T-shirts. What the hell. I rush to get changed into my house tee and guess what happens when I get back? We have to get down to the school hall for an "impromptu" assembly. Damn it, our school is getting really good at doing this last minute shit.

We were all briefed about sports day and the morning's agenda. Oh I anticipated this day! I did! Really! Rriiigght. I did not anticipate the sports practice or anything. You should have seen the prefects marching. What a Laugh Out Loud. Embarrassment. Humiliation. So few prefects want to march.

On more happier notes, I got this:

Hahaha! Oh yes! Reading time. Homework? Take a backseat.

Books will be the bane of my studies, but the essence of my soul! sob!! (my ass you melodramatic queen, i mean king..)

I have finished A Year in The Merde in less than 2 days. What brilliance! Oh yeah! Oh MY God. This book is really one of a kind. Specialising in spilling the beans in a journalist's point of view and not less an account of a spicy diary, this book certainly rocks. A classic read but unfortunately it is not meant for people who do not appreciate interracial activities (find out what kinda activities I am talking about..hehe..). Definitely a good read..(I am starting to have a book reviews blog like Jia Min...)

In-All-Obviousness:
This book is certainly one of my most favourite that came from a Jap author (not discriminating or anything, but it is just that I rarely read translated stuff unless it is really good literature as translated works lose their shine after people happen to translate it and in order for a novel to be great, it has to have a lot more and more shine so it will not dull after translation...what long windedness). Baseless accusations on this novel made by yet-again-bloom's-oh-so-unappreciative-wife Jia Min are indeed a waste of time. This book does not cover porn or any indecent acts but a whole lot more wholesome reading fun. It leaves the readers to imagine for themselves what it is like to be in Kafka's oh-so-exciting world. This book is not porn! It's literature glazed with a bit of sugary goodness (or badness whichever way you look at it) and my metaphors are as good as his already. Got a hell of an imagination? Get this book from Keegan or Wei Li of Form 5Sc1.

And on to my main points which are accumulated throughout this oh-so-graciously-pissy day.

1. Parents, let us all do an assessment on your child's behaviour in and out of the house. Ok.
In The House: The oh-so-holy-and-sweet-angel: your child.
Out Of The House: The oh-so-holy-shit-devil: also, alas, your child.
What is this? A case of Jekyll and Hyde-ism? No parents. It is your dysfunctional family upbringing. Blame yourselves and come the day when you look at God in the eye, do not ever said that you had tried your best, liar.
Reasons: This little twit this morning came over to where I was standing like a statue just to give a public speech on how "my Godbro was insulted and adding that it took someone of that stature to bring him down" as I told him as he was rushing up the stairs to chase the devil (or rather go up to class) not to be so childish. Naturally, his retort was as stated above. His little sentences carefully concocted to hurt the mightiest of people did little to even graze me though it actually meant that he wanted to make me lose my dignity. Rather, I have lost my hope in our future generation. Guys, those of you who deem yourselves as smart better leave the country and get a pr in some other place. With kids like these you can expect chaos instead of peace to reign during their rule.
During my rule over the stairs during lunch, came along this uncouth kid who said some Cantonese sentences thinking that me, an English speaking Chinese who does not appreciate his roots would not be able to understand (of course I seeked clarification later from Tan Sri Choo). He actually cursed my whole entire family six feet underground. Meaning he hoped for them to die aka "ham ka chan?" whoo. My hope loosed further. God please help me not to deface the prefectorial board's name and give further excuse for someone else to saunter in as a "special guest" to comment on the prefectorial board's inadequacy and disability to have something called intrapersonal skills aka give that guy an oh-so-neat kick in his family descendants line (you know what I mean).

Do not think we are helpless just because we do not dish out justice. Just give me the word, and I will wreak havoc, I promise you all that. No mercy from me, ever again.

Saturday, 31 March 2007

Hah. This will be the 70th post. I am well on my way to a hundred and nothing can stop me! Well, except maybe if you happen to include time, studies, running out of stupid ideas and last but not least my mom.
I will call for mercy to rain down this very moment if I have the ability to do so. Save me from this oh-so-imminent destruction. The will to focus on studying now is so fickle I can hardly stop thinking of books. Novels to be precise. Which brings me to my next point. (Ok, I am starting to sound like Dharma and Kelvin with all their factual essay words coming into play in short narratives. What the heck. I mean, how can you insert crap like "furthermore" into a narrative or short story at the beginning of a new paragraph? Save that for the stupid factuals. Hope everyone learns something from this little snide comment and not repeat that stupid mistake.)

Next point: I have finished Kafka on The Shore. For the second time. What an achievement. When I first read it I was what? 15 years old? Now I am approaching that oh-so-sweet-n-sour sixteen which to me sounds like some kinda candy (sweet sixteen? too girly...I prefer sexy sixteen...) I happen to understand that novel far better. All those little metaphors and deep stuff. The way the novel turned out towards the end was kind of depressing and sad. As of all novels I have read. It usually ends up in someone or a group of people dying. I think Jia Min and Keegan agree with me when I say that Miss Saeki's death is a real waste after all those little "favours" she had been giving Kafka. What a waste right? hehe...I do believe that Haruki Murakami is a good writer. Reading his novels are like some kind of an other world experience, just like Stephen King. It takes a lot for people to impress me. I show like I have some liking to some people and try to be nice. But unfortunately some people fail to live up to my expectations. Still, we live and let live.

Next book coming up!!!
A Year in Merde by Stephen Clarke. We will just have to see if this novel is as equally sexy as Kafka on Ze Shore....Wit would be a plus, after all that depressing crap from Ze Shore.

"My parents taught me to b nasty to those who r nasty to me, hey, im just defending myself.."

The day before yesterday's events are still fresh in here. Actually, it is occupying that little space I have set aside for retaining studies and the like. As the title suggests, I am actually reiterating (going all MUN) what I have heard from some sources, whose credibility is quite known to be true. Man oh man, that screwed up guy's little doting elders have really run aground of that sand bank. Let's face it. We all come from not-so-perfect families. But of course, there are those who are wise enough to release their frustration in a more civilized and constructive manner. Unlike those who give a tight slap to whoever they please. If I had my way I would go around school like an asshole prefect just because of the shit I am having here but point is, I do not. And neither should anyone. In fact, I am beginning to feel that old and oh-so-familiar feeling coming back again. Life should be exciting.

I currently have tangled with 3 'gangs' of students who wish to exert their presence as clowns of the earth and my court jesters. Reason: the very same one that got Ken Vin his oh-so-nice present...ask him, I do not wish to publicly embarrass him.
See, people such as these do not dispose of the very essential things we call eating utensils which include plates and crockery. And we prefects are given the honour to kindly request that they dispose of them at the appointed places. So basically, an essential part of the prefect workforce is being used to ask people to pick up after themselves. Which actually makes me a true slavedriver. Yes, I am given the power to ask people to pick up after their shit which their maids and whoever usually does for them at home. Perfected silence.

Finally!

It is buzzing with chatter and noise, like some kinda supermarket. Do not be surprised, this is the usual atmosphere in our school hall, Dewan Datuk Doktor Loy Hean Heong. Haha. What great discipline we seniors show to our juniors.

Nik was being scary again. Not that I am afraid of her, but see. The thing is I HATE (another hate) seeing people disappointed or annoyed (but of course, I frequently get annoyed and disappointed...and I make no attempt to hide it except in front of special people..). And she is the queen of "shut up"s and "whatever"s. The MUN meeting was nothing out of the ordinary. The usual laughs in the class AND Miss Mabil dishing out some ultimatums.

Other than that, I nearly slept in Maths. Miss Lim was teaching us like some kindergarten children, using that voice. Haha. No offence Miss Lim.

Sunday, 18 March 2007

thank you! THANK YOU!!!

Finally, the goddamn school is going to be reopened! Hahah! No more boring days at home. But no more relaxing time either. The endless cycle of studying and working oh-so-hard is going to begin all over. But hey, life is like a wheel right? The ups and downs it illustrates I mean, not the rolling through shit and dirt which some people might interpret as...

Okok, I know it's boring. Just wait for tomorrow ok?
Bak Kut Teh tastes just peachy by the way. Sad for those of you who cannot experience the succulent and steamy taste it leaves on your palate. What a treat.

Monday, 12 March 2007

a dark time calls for a darker analogy

In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

The reluctant messenger...haha, more like bored..

(Just playing by the rules, got bored too so I decided to do something random which was done by dunno how many millions of people before Isabell who decided to pull the cloth over my head.)

RULES:
Each player of this game starts out by giving 6 weird things about themselves. People who get tagged need to write in a blog of their own 6 weird things as well as state the rules clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. After you do that, leave them each a comment letting them know you tagged them and to read your blog!

(this part is not included in the rules, I felt like adding it. If you felt like it too, please do so and delete this little comment...)
Come on, do not be a spoil sport.

6 strange and crazy things John does behind all your backs...ok, maybe in front of the privileged few....hehe.

1. Ok everyone, deal with it. I am a nice guy. I always take life with a pinch of pepper. As this statement implies, I rarely hate things. Or anyone for that matter. How nice. Except, that I am not so forgiving when it comes to books. I HATE IT when people bend and spoil book spines! I mean, it's a paperback, yes, but does that give us any license to disrespect the book? So what if its thick? Bend the covers then. But do not overbend it...

2. Like some book passionate people, I love smelling the pages of a book that I have newly bought. But all in all, I like cream wove paper the best. I even took the initiative to research on the paper. See, I bought this RM80++ book on The Iliad. It was the most, I repeat, THE MOST EXPENSIVE book of poetry I have ever gotten. And, wow. Did it smell sooo good.

3. Speaking of smells and scents, there is this certain fetish I have. It makes me sound soo like a pervert. Here goes. I like smelling. Some girls really do smell good. Never really taken the trouble to smell all of them though. Hehe.

4. Believe it or not...I am an accomplished orchestra conducter. According to Mickey Mouse and gang in my room...my sister thinks its silly. Whenever Tchaikovsky is played on the laptop (by me...) I start my act. Handel is arm straining but Tchaikovsky is really full of energy. I sweat sometimes after a full blown performance. Hah. Laugh all you want.

5. Most of you probably know this. I read books as thick as It or The Stand in a week or two. The Harry Potter books took a week each. After which I suffer serious consequences. Eye strain. My eyes will water if I make use of half the day on something like The Stand. The pain and effort was sooo unforgettable. It was my easily conquerable Mount Everest. Beat that. Mingster and Wei Li think I am mad. My dear Hera thinks I am just passionate about books. How proud she made me...

6. The final one. Thank God.
Ok, this one is not embarrassing. Not so...well. Sometimes when my hands are wet, I switch off the toilet lights with my elbow. Just wanna live longer actually. Can you blame me for that? Just like can you blame that guy who got electrocuted when he tried to switch off the switch with his wet hands. What a life.

Ok, just like the Olympics, I will pass on the torch to 6 unfortunate souls.

1. Che a.k.a. MikKim
2. Lee Jia Min
3. The BERKS (you guys gonna haf to compile your little crazy stuff in separate entries...hehe)
4. Amanda Mun (you can type yours in your personal blog)

Cannot think of anyone else. That means I did not fulfill this little game. Guess that means I slacked off. Have fun passing the torch and waking up that dark and secretive part of people which lay dormant for centuries. Enjoy yourselves. Have a nice holiday. Especially to the 2 people who will be going off to America and especially to one of them who is very special to me. Hope Disney was like a dream come true.

My books are a dream come true.

2 down, 1 more to go...

Finished Hearts in Atlantis. Haha! 3 days of solid 4 hours reading can really give you deep satisfaction...and some (like me...) say eye ache. What the heck. Also finished a book about some gory histories regarding the knights and castles of old. I have the rest of the holidays to look forward to 1421.

Go ahead, take up some old book or buy a new one and get cracking.

Hearts in Atlantis Part 2

This book is such a bleeding depressing read. The low men in yellow coats really got my skin crawling. But I know that Ted Brautigan will be back in the Dark Tower Chronicles. I just know it. Read about Dark Tower and it said that it had a couple of gunslingers and some Breakers and the tak.

If you thought the Low Men in Yellow Coats was bad, you should read Hearts in Atlantis. It broke me to actually see Carol leave Peter. Well, I have not read the end of the second novella but I have a faint feeling that it will see Peter Riley get drafted into the army in the end. What a waste.

Hearts in Atlantis

This book here, my friends, is such a exceedingly good read. Ok, bleeding good read.
One of my favourite aspects of King's novels are that they are laced with cynical and twisted remarks. Ok, I am not alien to his great works and that was the main reason why I jumped up and down like a mad clown when Wei told me she had Hearts in Atlantis...here are some really stupid and laughable one liners:

Here's a situation: Bobby knew what was coming next, it was his mother's all time favourite.
"Life isn't fair."
I mean, that statement is an understatement do you not agree?

"Tempus fugit." Time flies...what the heck? See, I told you this book was full of ripshit. Haha, and I enjoy reading trash, but I also enjoy a good historical novel or something, just like a nerd. Hah.

Hey, they even had a quote from the Bible:
"For I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner. Spare me, that I may recover strength, before I go hence and be no more."
Now that's what I call dark stuff. Do not venture too deep, I have been there and I think its sick.

Well, they also had something on the Lord of The Flies. I read that book and I think it rocks too. but its also kinda dark...macabre. Yeah.

"So what's the story morning glory?" A little shut upper. Hah.

'She almost never swore, said that cursing and what she called "dirty talk" was the language of the ignorant.'
Ok, so I am ignorant. Sue me and the others.

"You have to eat a peck of dirt before you die."

"Two men looked out through prison bars, one saw the mud and one saw the stars." What does that mean?

'...and Bobby saw what his mother's mouth change as it always did when he ventured a question about his late father. The change made him think of a purse that she had: when you pulled on the drawstrings, the hole at the top got smaller.' Sounds like a really mean mom. She kept grudges and paid them back later by the way. Keegan, you should be well informed about what you will venture into later.

"I trust him (or her) as far as i could sling a piano." Self explainatory.

"A fool and his money are soon parted." Haha, an age old adage.

Ok, that's enough. I have a lot more to read. Haha. Have you started doing something really beneficial this hols? I know I have.

Yes! yes! more books!

Ok. I had a really sleepy day filled with fun today. Those words contradict each other but yeah, I did.

8.00-8.40 a.m.
Morning duty as a prefect is never easy. Especially when you are doing the 'latecomers' thing. Those asses can come later than 8.15. Which by then I will b cruising at full speed with my duty partner to the class. But of course, sometimes, people like Lai Tong or Mugen do not like going to classes and would rather skip it. So, I will be running like a fool to the class while they saunter back like they own the whole world.

But today, sigh. We (Tze Yen, Euu Min and I) were kept back by some smelly old clothes and a wallet containing a photostated IC and some Buncho Paints. What a crime. The female security guard called us to help in the returning of the articles. Which we felt obligated to do. Spent 20 minutes on that.

8.40 a.m.
Went to the Bio lab with some Bio books. Ran there actually. Reached and discovered that I do not have my lab report book. Ran back to class and looked for it. Some people do make discoveries everyday ranging from surprises to blatant fuck-ups (wow! The first time I used that word in my blog. This is a discovery...). This was a BFU. The book, which I discovered later in the day i.e. when I was home was at home. Wow. I deem that as a discovery. Hey, life is a learning process. As I was making my way downstairs to the freaking Bio lab, Amanda came bumbling along and dragged my sis and I back to the 4th floor. I believe I have burnt a lot of calories by then. No wonder I have a 2 pack. (nothing to show off about....)

I think it was about 8.50 by then.
We sat in then learning support room with Encik Iskhandar and Encik Johari and listened to Is talk about choosing the right SPM subjects (those in the room took extra subjects that the school does not provide tuition for...). Then he asked us at approximately 9.00 about whether we are provided adequate external outside of school tuition for our Bible Knowledge. We said a 2 second reply i.e. yes and he let us off. Talk about waiting for 10 minutes. What the heck. We missed the photo taking session for our class. What a waste.

Tortured some plants at 9.15. Went back to the lab at 9.20....how boring can this be?
Finally left the Bio lab for the cooling air conditioned classroom. Wow. And surprise surprise, Wei Li brought Hearts in Atlantis and 1421 for me! 2 new books for me to read! Yesyes! Hearts in Atlantis is by my very own personal favourite Stephen King and 1421 is something like a historical novel, so I was told. YES!

Had some smashing fun with the football in the badminton hall this afternoon. I love playing football, not watching it. Except maybe the parts where fouls are committed. That's where I get my laughing time and stitches. Loads of happy endorphins coursing through my veins. (that statement may not be biologically correct but what the heck)

Helped the Interacters to paint the school sports storeroom just for the heck of it. (Liar, he did it for his Moral project, but at least he did it with a "hati yang ikhlas" haha.)

Oh yeah, at about 4 in the afternoon, it rained. Was the event a washout? Miss Khoo! You and your weather forecaster are soooo wrong! HAHA!! Ok. But I still feel sad coz I contributed in it too....

Bottomline: I must find time to read those darn books! Heavenly.

KLMUN, aftermath

Was soo bleeding hot at the guard house while waiting for everyone to arrive at school to depart in the van and Nik's van-of-a-car. Rich.
GIS was having their International Day. Quite a little creative event where all the students gather together in different clothes and stuff like that. Anyway, I am not here to talk about the little event GIS had.

Went straight to the General Assembly Plenary hall. The hall looked something like SSG's. But it was far bigger and you could wear a blazer in there without breaking a sweat. Hah.
Ok, now I would like to ask the opinion of the public. To whoever who reads this, do you think Satanic Worship is deemed as a religion? God forbid. There was this guy who kept pointing out that "what if people deem satanic worship as a religion?" Ask me, did he get fired back at? Haha. Self explainatory.

Met Yi Ming after that I think. Hah. It was really a lame affair. The aforepredicted things to happen i.e. the high five and waving crap, it happened. Then we all had a good laugh. Wanted to meet Redzuan but did not see him. Oh well. Yi Ming had this equally cute looking friend with her, Natalie. Nice girls. Make me feel like a big brother. After all, I only have an elder sister.

All in all, the conference went sooo well.
Attend one. You will love it.

Brave New World

O wonder!
How many goodly creatures are there here!
How beautious mankind is!
O brave new world,
That has such people in't!
Went to Garden International on Saturday for the KLMUN conference....
Guess my first thought upon arriving....
The word "WOW" with upper casings...immaculately richly hallowedly designed for the freaking rich and famous.

Ok. Do not go into details bout the school just yet. I will start from the top. Left the house for school only to wait there for a couple of minutes for Isabell and Queen Hera. A couple of minutes were like 15? so when we left it was 9.15. And YB Nik Shazarina said we would leave at 9 SHARP...yeah..that's right.
Ken Vin came in some Mercedes C-Class....I have nothing to say. It is self explainatory.

Ok, so we were in GIS and the place was soo gigantic but we were not given the opportunity to explore...sadly. The stairs leading to the General Assembly Plenary was soo breathtaking Hera had to pause a while while walking up the stairs and Antonio was such a gentleman.

The hall was done ala- Sri Garden style...or was Sri Garden done ala-GIS style? I am confused...apparently GIS had been around since the 1980s...according to the notice boards for head prefects.

We were in some kind of prestigious new building which by our SSG English standards will most probably b called New Wing...its called the New Building by the way. So 5 starrish.
So air conditioned. Unlike our dear "new wing"...

The procedures were a die-for...I adore the present and voting crap. It is sooo formal. Which is soo me.

Today, the resolution I co-submitted i.e. the one concerning the defamation of religions. It got a wigging and...got slapped left right center. One important moral derived from this incident.
Do not, I repeat from experience, do not approve or co-sign anyone's resolution early in the game. It would only lead to your downfall later. Just bide your time and wait for lobbying. It is worth the wait.

MUN is an event you have got..GOT to experience, all of you out there. It is Model United Nerds. I AM A NERD. Hah. Beat that.

By the way, I managed to slack off and play DotA this afternoon..Tiny the StoneGolem was soo cool at lvl 17 he damaged up to 100+. If I had time to get the Divine Rapier or the other one which needed Crystals and Demon Edge, I would have killed creeps 1 hitKO. I already did that with the creep shaman.
Oh yeah, this wireless? I mean the neighbours? Do not play an online game with it. I looked so nooby when I played DotA on LAN. Got killed numerous times. Made me look damn noob.

aah!

I wuhnt maahh ssleepp.

Bleeding tired today. Still managing to type some crap here.
Cannot find some suitable cufflinks for the shirts for the conference. Not that I have any cufflinks. Thank God I have got 3 ties which match all the shirts. Fortunate me.. (I do not believe in luck...) and so if all goes well, I will be at the conference this Saturday and Sunday and meet Yi Ming on Monday. Better sleep after doing my part on the measures to improve sea, air and land travelling securities.

neck busting

I have been spending a shitload of time on this little laptop of mine. Soo much time has been invested that my neck just aches like crap everytime I 'finish' my 'business'.

With English and Malay oral presentations and the KLMUN coming up, I just do not know which one I should give my full commitment and priority to. Hmm...
Obviously I should care more about BM. The passing up of the information is on Thursday! Wtcrap!
Right now, I am inhaling loads of incense and burning smells emanating from the window. Which of course is caused by the excessive burnings. If I happen to die in the near future while still living at Pertiwi 'Indah' (more like busuk) it will most probably be caused by open burnings and the inhalation of crap from the atmosphere. Not from stranglings and masochistic fantasies but death by smoke. What a life.

So, the order of the day: BM, KLMUN, english. Damn, I am good at prioritising.
Are you?

Sugar!! I need sugar!

The wet market was half full today. And I mean half full as in not many Verkaufers around. Half of them opted to spend their day not working as it is still in the time of The Chinese New Year. Sad. Not many choices of food to buy. Surprisingly, most of the stalls which my mom frequents are closed. Shit.

German class was almost sleepable. I was glad to be able to make it out of the room when 1.35-ish came. Mik and I made our way to Ken Vin's house. Pretty nice to actually walk in and see a couple of my classmates and Vin's brother-in-law gambling money over a game of Blackjack. I gambled with money for the first time today. But of course, it was not my money, it was Ken Vin's. HAHA.
he lost approximately 30 bucks today and had a hundred something net loss over the Chinky New Year. Talk bout being rich. Shit.

Played the PS2 for the rest of the time after eating the delicious cake. His birthday celebration was today but his birthday is actually on the 27th. Wait. Was it the 28th? or the 29th? Crap.
Niways, got his this really good book. Never really read Michael Crichton but my mom recommended it for its really good English. Wow. Ken Vin, you better appreciate it! Could I borrow it when you are done? Please say yes!! Next.

E Chiove.

The beginning, all over again.

School reopens tomorrow. Perfect. Bore us out with the stupid holidays and have an exam right after that. Ask me whether I am thrilled that the assessment is on Monday.

A newspaperless day

Today was so eventful the most avid and willing listener of mine will fall asleep.
We had planned the night before to go jogging at KLCC today morning at 7.30 and fortunately (or unfortunately whichever way you look at it) we woke up at 9.30. Oh well. Talk about sleeping in.

Ate some more sweet glutinous rice cakes for breakfast. That was all. Lunch was a scrappy affair. What the heck. Found out that Andrea Bocelli's Sentimento was sooo much like some kind of opera music! Wow! My favourite now. Had Sentimento quite some years back. Romanza was even later but I have not realised that his music was this good until now. I told my mom it was good music and she asked me about the title of the cd. I said Sentimento and said that it was really cheerful and ala-opera but she cut me down and said that sentimento meant sentimental. Talk about opening my big mouth and adding some "educated" remarks. Oh well.

Procrastinated (something quite unusual for someone of his stature..hhmph) about Encik Iskhandar's work i.e. the youth today topic for the essay. I do not have the will to write anything. Well, Ming was right. "How can you write something passionate about our youth? Youth power?" Oh well.

Listened to more music. Listened to my sister moan about my choice of music. Procrastinated some more. Attempted to study History. Failed miserably and took a nap. Oh well. Can I stop using that stupid line? No. Oh well.

Today was slack off day. So will the next 2 days to come. Might as well enjoy my holidays.

The pen is mightier than the sword. But I will say in this modern world the fingers are mightier than the gun. Hah.

Yesterday, today.

Wow. Yesterday was....very enlightening. Isabell's sister who was almost non-existant to me (well, not exactly non-existant, I knew her name but not really that close to her. Ok. Never spoke to her before until yesterday.) was speaking to me. Oh well. Thanks to this little competition, I get to meet new people.
There's this new group of people: girls named Maggie and Sarah. Guy named Vik. Pretty friendly with them.
Screwed up on the Oral Interpretation today. Shit!!! But hey. I am a newbie. I guess that's a pretty legitimate reason to lose to the pros. Pooped at Duet Acting too. Hope Wei's not that disappointed. Jack Worthing! You are the worst role I have ever taken on! No more gentlemen roles for me. I suck at being royalty.

There is this guy named George Bull. Whew. He was a heartthrob to the girls ( I assume he was) and he could act. Oh well. Some people have it got it coming really good early.

Tomorrow is the finals. I would like to dedicate this post to Keegan and Ju Piau who will be in the semis and hopefully in the finals tomorrow. Let us all pray that at least Sri Garden has a debate team winning. (Thank me Keegan...)

Monday, 12 February 2007

Oh dear...

Bloody busy today. Ok. Not that busy. Still. There was that "preview" in the hall that comtributed quite a lot of stress on me. But what the heck. Then there was the issue of the submittal of the script for Duet Acting. Crap. Everyone (I am not going to mention who) were complaining about Ms Mabil. Me excluded. At least I have respect for that old lady. Unlike some people.

Mr Is. also highlighted the prospect of publishing a little collection of stories which Wei Li will garner from guess whos....The Students Of Form 5Sc1. Hoohah. I would of course like to write when I am in a fit of passion and not in the midst of preparing for the retarded examinations. Bloody....

Just finished reading Isabell's post. Realised that her brother is indeed cute. As I was making my way out of the hall with her and my sis after school which was at about 3.50 (which was technically still during school hours for Isabell...), along came her cute brother. Yelled. Hugged his sister. That was cute. Except that I never had that chance to do that to my sis. I am a big buffalo right now. Not an infant.

Received Shuya's email reply. Replied it. Thank God for my wits. I had deleted the full stop in his email and sent it as I had tried to send an email to an address with a full stop and that annoying Mail Daemon failure crap popped out the next instant in my inbox.
Reply fast Sarah Huynh!!!

Departure

Hark. Today marks the traumatic departure of our honoured guest that I will never forget. Ok, that sounded fake.

I am saddened deeply by the departure of our new friend whom I have made good friends with for the past 3days. This sucks. Depression sets in. I always get depressed after these kind of events take place i.e. the saying of good byes. I hate good byes. This is the first and most hated...HATED thing in my life. To utter a good bye. Approximately 24 hours ago, we were running through Mid Valley in search of some stupid eggs and yoghurt drink for some little "race" organised by my (God's) church and now, he's somewhere in Kuala Lumpur and I do not know where. So near yet so far. They will probably be departing on Tuesday.

Picture this:
You go on a walk on the beach. You leave little foot imprints in the soft sand. Along comes a wave. It washes the print which gradually becomes level with the sand again.
That footprint in the soft sand represents the emptiness left when someone leaves. The wave represents time.
This certainly quite proves the saying that time and tide waits for no man. Either you overcome the loss or wallow in self pity.

Let me just recall their names for a last time.
Shuya Tsuchiya. Yuka Kimura. Michiro __, Tomo__,
hmmm...who else...gah! Those people are last standing Japanese names which I seem to recall only. The rest...forgotten.

"Those who put their hand on the plow and still look back are never fit for the Kingdom."

Loads of pictures

We are in the school....

Day 1 of Arrival of YB Shuya Tsuchiya

The emceeing thing yesterday was a blast!! Mr Gan BK recognised my talent (whatever....) and said
"Thank you John..."
Then continued his speech. Wait. He did say thank you John right? Many people thought he called me something else. What the heck. But before that Mr Khaw was kind of impatient towards the end of the his speech and did not allow the translator/teacher of Hokuryo to translate his sentence as he chopped in the middle of her translation and said thank you.

Then after all the hoohah and ceremonies, we finally get to know each other in the badminton hall. Walked through the throngs of Hokuryo and Sri Gardeners and went searching for the YB. Damn friendly guy. Saw him amongst his two buddies sitting down. These oh-so-polite people offered me their egg sandwiches. But I did not accept. After all, they are guests. Chatty mood and atmosphere coming into play. They were great people. Seriously.

After making a series of gestures and waves and broken up phrases in sentences, I had managed to convince him to stay with his buddies in the school hall after I brought him out of the badminton hall. Then I went along to help the prefects to take groups of students to the classrooms to have fun with the students (SSGers) in it. Kist asked whether I was busy flirting with her friend (Isabell) and I did not know what to say....

Met this Japanese girl Yuka Kimura in that group. Nice person. Then we (Mugen and I) left them in a class (form 2E??) full of hooligans. But not without getting a snide remark made by Mr Iskhandar in the corridor:
"Taking advantage of them (Yuka and her friend...another girl...) huh?"
What could I do?? I was at the back of that group while Mugen was in front of the group chatting with the guys....(like he was helpless to do so...)
But the girls were nice all the same. That was why I felt so mean when I left them alone to fend for themselves in a vile classroom. (ok...I was stereotyping back then. But what could I do? They all acted like what I predicted i.e. wild and unruly.) Managed to pass the message that they should remain in the classrooms until called out and we (Mugen and I) were leaving them there through Yuka who let me use that nifty electronic translator which they all had with them.

Canteen food was much better that day...(duh! the Japanese students were there...) and che and I had coupons...so we got them free!!! And then we went back to the hall for the "handing-over" ceremony...that was a stupid name for a ceremony...its like the police were handing over convicts to transferred prisons...

Left the hall with Shuya and sis. Met many peeps on the way who exclaimed over the guy...(Sui Yee, some primary school kids who were jealous of me having Shuya...and many more..)
Met Yuka (again..) and told her to enjoy time with her host...what a nice guy I am...
That guy's luggage was like rocks...heavy shit.
He was sooo polite about removing his blazer. Wow. I did not realise how polite he could be until this morning...

He showed me his sketch book in the house and it said that he would like to be a nursery teacher. That seemed to explain itself i.e. how the primary kids got attracted to him...
He liked to draw and wanted to make a little sketch of us.

Went to Aquaria at 3.00. Met Wei Li and Michiro there. Saw the sights. Looks like Aquaria is not really Aquaria. It had some jungle stuff too. The guys were fascinated. Nice scorpions...

They liked the big fishes....nice. Then we all walked to Kinokuniya to lookie at some bookies. Mostly manga anyway. They were all in Chinese Mandarin characters that they could not read them. Oh well...

Took Shuya to Petaling Street a.k.a. Chinatown. Freaking kitanai.(dirty) But before that we took him to the Hindu and Buddhist temples. Then after the dirty streets of Petaling we went to eat some chinese food. He does not like curry and squid. Checked. No squid. He likes cucumbers. Checked.

We went to the Eye On Malaysia. At first he was quite apprehensive and feigned shaking legs and fainting spells. But he went anyway after much forcefulness on my part....hehe.
It was nice. German and Swiss technology rocks. Shuya was always worried about accidents. We went home and slept at 12.30am.

Today was another episode which I might be able to type out tomorrow.

too much...

Hey hey...guess what. My wish to overload myself with activities has finally been fulfilled. And I make this day known as the First Day of the Year 2007 When John did not Finish His Homework. God knows how long this shit will continue. I cannot take it anymore. I feel rather stupid right now as I am complaining that I still have unfinished business and still I chose to go online. Oh well...

This morning was hectic. Ok. Not really. Had a little rehearsal at the hall. Master of ceremonies thing. For the "day-the-Japanese-people-arrive-at-Sri-Garden" a.k.a. Friday. Nothing that tough. Had physical ed after that. Smelly bloody white shirt. Better remind myself to soak it in Clorox a.k.a. chlorine when I get back i.e. now. But I still have not done anything about the smelly shirt. Nice going...

Did a little presentation in front of Ms. Chan (whose name I always confuse with the name Ms. Susan...watever...) Well, had a little screw up on the intonation. Duh...

Had a couple of Dunkin Doughnuts (mocha and strawberry) which my sis and I bought from the Interact people (my sis is an Interact-er herself..). Quite pleasant tasting things. Ok. They taste damn good. Though I thought that strawberry was gay. Damn. I am gay. But I am NOT a gay. There is a difference between those both sentence structures for those dumbasses among you who do not know the difference. Pardon the insult. It was intended.

Tired. And the Japanese guy is going to come on Friday. The house...in a mess. Crap.

hark at the assholes...pray for the ones who make you happy

Someone really made me happy this morning. I was like "Crap, some people really read crap..."(i.e. my blog...)
UJP: He's just being too bloody modest..

"Oh yeah, I've read your blog. I also blog about random stuff."
"Feel free to post any comments."
"Oh, I did."

Something like that went on this morning not exactly in verbatim but it did add a bit of light footed-ness to my step. Do not take it the wrong way.

While on my way up the main stairs, Kelvin was on the third floor and resorted to shouting "Faggot!!"!" while I was doing my usual morning exercise. Oh well. Talk about having good friends. Talk about the way they greet you and brighten your day in the morning by mouthing an obscenity. Just because I was late (7.39 when I signed in....). Thanks Kelvin. Hope you can do better than that next time i.e. shouting "FUCKER!!!" while a parent/teacher is standing beside you and while I am double stepping the stairs....I like eating crabs by the way. If they were not that expensive and did not have seasons, I would be eating them by the dozen...hehe.....

I had also unearthed my Physics lab report book in class. I had wrongly accused my sister the night before of stealing my book. Oh well. All those whackings and ala GESTAPO tortures were for nothing. Sorry che...(that was all he could manage...)
Do not worry. John did not hit her. He exaggerates...right??

Let me see....anything funny the teachers did today? Yeah. The most memorable one was the 'Rocky' incident. Betcha my sis already had this down. But what the heck.
Jia Min would also recall fondly that this incident had happened to her before. Amanda got man-handled by Puan "Rocky" Rokiah i.e. tickled until point of no return i.e. the person which the tickling is done onto is getting really tickled and starts retaliating i.e. whacking back.
So far, I have noticed Puan "Rocky" Rokiah doing this quite often. Maybe we might have another incident in March. Maybe she is clocking up on experience on how to tickle people. Heck, she does it sooo well. You rock Rocky.

Then we go through the usual lab thing. (chemistry...) The nitrogen dioxide was getting kind of out of hand and so the lab assistant veto-ed that we all will not have to do the nitrate experiment. But it looked kind of fun though Boon Hong was nearly dead i.e. swooning with his handkerchief...something quite rare for a person of his stature and he is rarely seen with his handkerchief in his nose unlike yours truly. Heck, they even printed the stupid photo of me in India sneezing in the conference room. Shit. In the freaking yearbook. I was a laugh. But I was not laughing. Hah.

Observed my sis and Keshinn do their duet act thing...Keshinn was bitching that I was looking at them performing and she felt uncomfortable. Well! Everyone!!!! Keshinn hates performing in front of a crowd!!

Wei came over. Ate lunch. Practiced our act. Watched the CD on the Variety concert last year. Made some cynical comments. Laughed. "Ahh"ed and "Ohh"ed over the dances. Left.

Depressed people actually take it in their stride to relieve the world of depression and do so by listening to songs like Andrea Bocelli. My mom dislikes him sooo much to the extent that she gave me all her AB CDs. Should have been there to see the look of pure bliss on my face.

Are you depressed? Call me.

Endless Devotion

Yesterday was crappy. The only reason that I am typing an old entry is that Khoo Sze Yen used the laptop until God-knows-what-time. Not that I do not deprive her of it often enough.

Well, the DA video could not be watched yesterday because some major people who are participating cannot make it i.e. they have to attend the Big L meeting. Literature, wonder why Nazi did not take it. I mean, she reads a a lot of poems or so she claims. And now she says that Literature was too difficult to take. Bull crap. Unless of course she feels overburdened like some people who choose to exert themselves.

Another nicety. We had Bio extra class today. Lord. Then Ken Vin was like
"Buy something for me at BAM. I am going to be kind of busy so I cannot follow you." Yeah, busy lipping someone. Bloody hell. Okok. I still owe him some thanks as he "treated" me to some of the loose change after purchasing his stuff. The Dharma was "John buy stuff for me"ing..
I was talking to Nazeera the whole while while going to that infamous mart. Keshinn was trailing behind and feeling left out. Not that I intended for that to happen but it was kind of funny seeing her sulk. I cannot help myself from talking soooo much. Too bad. Then when we were there, a few people were pointedly commenting about the amount of 'goods' I was purchasing which amounted to RM9.90. Holy crap. Nazi gave me some 2 bucks off the books!! How generous. But after that, she requested some money from me as she did not have 20 cent. What a laugh. But I discovered that I had 2 bucks (Dharma's) in my breast pocket. And my immense genius made me exclaim out aloud the imminent fact and had Nazeera taking it away from me as repayment (another inevitable imminent fact). Damn, jsut shut your big mouth idiot! $#%&! Hope I do not sound ungrateful.....

Then later while at home at 9-ish pm, I happened to stumble upon somebody's blog (ok, I was doing mindless surfing) and it said that this certain somebody's (whose link I got from another person who got it from another person who got it from another soul somewhere....) interests are Jesus Christ....ok. When I read these first two words I thought the girl was like

"Jesus Christ, they even ask this kind of shit!" (ok, that was a sin which I committed by using God's name in vain but it is a necessary evil in order to express myself...ok...it was unnecessary...)

But when I read the second interest: The Holy Bible...
I was saying to myself (another crazy habit monologuing "Lord God, some one really loves you" in that sarcastic way.

It was then I saw that this girl openly professes that she loves Christian music. She even joined a blogring about it. Well, looks like someone shines brighter than John Khoo himself. (I produce a dull shine mind you...)

To magnify an unimportant day...

Call me evil, call me pansy, call me bitch, call me asshole.
Frankly speaking, one liners like those will never change me. After all, it is my decision to change for the greater good...for no one but myself.
So, please do not be surprised that I do not retaliate to certain comments and insults. (Keshinn, you suck...)

And so, I will begin with my fresh and monotonous Monday. Except that, today was a special day. Read on to find out what is so special about this day.

I started today with a song stuck in my head.
I had arrived fresh in school, only to be confronted by the fact that I am still going to look after the canteen section, whether I like it or not. And it's during break and lunch. Well! If the winds may be sooo kind, please stay until next week. Then you may leave. The canteen is kind of hot. The wind soothed me and Euu Min today during lunch.

Oh yeah, assembly time. No one had pretty much to say. Encik Iskhandar was highlighting his concept of good and bad students by way of analogy: The winners and losers.
This is so a few dim witted (if you are offended by this post, please make a public proclamation in the chatbox so I may identify the dim witted majority) people will not take it to offence but people like me(I am not claiming to be a genius) can interpret it as otherwise. I can see through analogies. Or at least I think I can. As he was presenting his speech, I noticed a few people(I will not scoff or mention their names...) poking themselves. Oh well...dimmies.

Jammy taught for 20 minutes today what she purported as a new syllabus for the Form Five this year. Lets all face it. We will always have new syllabuses every year. Something about the heart and blood pressure. Let me look through it later. Mr Khoo arrived about 30 minutes later while Jammy was teaching(let me remind you, 40 minutes are allocated for each slot and Jammy has coincidentally 1 slot for the day only. Since she was giving a piece of her mind to us prefects in the hall after assembly, we practically went for break as soon as she had stopped her speech i.e. at 11.13...that's 20 minutes of her lesson in 5Sc1 gone) and asked her to stop and release us all from her custody and allow us to make our way to the Physics lab. I had found Distraction there. After the mind boggling experiment, Khoo went on explaining about the interference of the waves and the superposition of the waves and...boom!!! Distraction hit me in the face. Sleep, whom I was already familiar with, whispered some secret in my ear...,"Go to sleep..."
I tried to ignore it, only to find Distraction. The lighting during Mr. Khoo's explanation did not help:it was semi dark as no one (including myself) had taken the initiative to switch on the lights. Easy come, easy go. In left ear, out right ear. Hopes he goes through it again on the next class. Hoooohum...

Chemistry was not that bad. But history was. Crap.
After lunch, Mr. Rama appeared in the class before I did.(canteen...remember??)
And for the first time in my entire life in school, I slept for an uninterrupted 5 minutes before being 'rudely' awakened. Mr Rama did that 'tegur' thing and went on to say that sleeping on Sunday afternoons are bad. And I quote, "Do not make sleeping on Sunday afternoons a habit!"
He said with conviction. Oh yeah, did I fail to mention that I had an ear on and the other off while he was discussing something while I was sleeping?
I slept only because he was not discussing the paper with us. He was talking about the Altantuya murder case with some fellow classmate of mine. (trying to justify his dishonourable actions) Hey! I had the right to sleep!!!

Oh yeah, and earlier in the day, I had found out the Japanese guy's name. Shuya Tsuchiya. I'll call you Tsuch!(has he any right to do so???) And so, he will arrive with all the fanfare on the 9th of February.

Made a discovery. The more sick stuff you continue to read, the meaner and sicker you get. I have read Stephen King like mad since I was, what? 15? Which was last year but a year makes hell of a lot of difference to a person. And now, I think darker and more cynically. Trying to improve actually. By not reading any more King. But still, there's still Lisey's Story and Cell for me to lay ownership to. Only thing is my mom will scream if I ever mention his name.

John: Hey ma, how bout Dean Koontz??
Mom: Don't even think about it.

But honestly, George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four is all I can think about nowadays. Animal Farm left me craving for more.

Read any good books lately? (do not say Harry Potter. Everyone knows Rowling writes good books. So does Paulo Coelho.)
Tell me something I do not know.

"What the eye does not see, the heart never grieves for."

purportedly found by Ng Wei Li.

clean and clear (not an advertistment)

Have you ever tried lifting your cupbord or chest of chest of drawers containing clothes? I have. And guess what, it was quite light. Which goes without saying that I have a very small selection of clothes. In a drawer. And I cleared my room already! The room is just waiting for the Japanese boy to set foot in and either scream in horror or gasp in amazement (either he gets frightened by the messy state of it or he is not surprised).

Deutschunterricht? Kein Problem...

This morning was rather a buzz. The Star Studded Student Council voting time is now here!!(was you mean....) And guess what. I was left out in the carrying of the ballot boxes!! Damn you whoever-who-so-dared-to-take my place!! Ok. There were too many people. What the hell.
The sports meet after that was comprised mainly of sitting down. Then this military guy (ok, he was from some military school before and he came here specifically to sit for the SPM I guess.) was giving us some demos (a student mind you) on how to march like a hero. Whew. Then this lameass complained that his leg was sprained when he played basketball earlier and needed to rest (if you are just bored and tired with marching, why not say so?). Ladidadida.

Was sitting around the chemistry lab after that. Waiting for the results of an experiment. Wasting time. Chatting a bit.The a couple of groups of prefects came in and started the voting thing. They left. Wasted more time. Packed up and went back to class. Then went to the teachers' lounge to count the votes. Nik you mean pig! Never waited for me!!! Ok. So nobody waited for nobody. As soon as ever class had voted, they rushed tot he lounge and started counting already. And I was entrusted with the task of counting the 'undi rosak'. Surprise surprise. Here we said specifically to vote a cross in only one box and do not scrawl your name or anything else on the paper and I had like what? 28 'undi rosak'? Sri Garden has unofficially have more than 28 confirmed idiots who cannot listen to instructions in school. From this statistic, I can most certainly predict our SPM and PMR results for this year.

Went home at about 1.35 because my sis had to practice her duet acting with Keshinn. Wei came over at like 2.30 to rehearse with me. She ate lunch here. Hoped you enjoyed it Wei!!
Bottomline for rehearsal: I am getting into the role if British Jack Worthing a.k.a. Ernest worthing. Hell, I do not pretend to be a pro but I sound like him. Save for the somewhat squeaky voice which came from the cold I have. Haha.

I also found out that, when learning a new language, make sure you do your homework as soon as possible and not leave it to the last minute. Trust me. I learnt it the hard way. But I still have reasons i.e. had too much to do during the week. Which includes having Wei Li over twice (including today) and having Bio extra class on Tuesday. I'll be butched.

And here I am, sitting in front of the laptop typing. Ask me whether I finished my homework and I would say every one of them. Hah.

"Show me someone who finishes his/her work on time and I will show you a self proclaimed nerd."
Not that I care about that label, do you?

Pussyfooting around a subject is not the way to go about in life...

Frankly speaking, dear neighbour who burns rubbish every evening, morning and night, either for religious or cheap skate reasons, u suck. What would make you stop?? Me stopping and gasping for breath in front of your squatter house and begging for mercy in between rasping breaths? the government coming and knocking at your wooden door? You think you are poor? Then what is with that Astro dish?...asshole. As I have proclaimed in the title of this post, I will not allow this nonsense to continue. You shall stop right now!

UnderpaidJohnPatroniser: Yeah. You should. But then again, he might die anytime sooner or later. Its life. Go ahead and continue to burn rubbish (which might include yourself). Knock yourself out.

Well, I have certainly noticed that people tend to type more great-to-read stuff (or rubbish in this case) when they are in a passionate fury or any kind of 'emo'. In my case, I am in an emotional fury and I shall scream for justice!!! *koff koff......( UJP:.....u suck...)

Yeah, and we (form 5sc1) were the last to receive our school magazines for the year 2006. The very last people. Talk about prioritising. Mutt....
The whole entire class stank of the freshly printed and stinking ink of the magazine. I thought I nearly died. And coming to think of it, I actually presevered to bring back that nice (stupid) thick book back here without fainting. And now I am close to passing out because of the incense. The burning of the sweet smelling incense. I am currently incensed. Crap. Do not remind me of that smell. Ok. So we all learn in Moral classes to tolerate these kind of things. Yeah. I would LOVE to see you tolerate it when you have to smell it every blessed day. Riddance has never been better, good.

We had 4 Bahasa Melayu periods today. FOUR!!!!! That means seeing Rokky for....what? 2 hours and 40 minutes? Ok. At least the last two periods were bearable. We went to the library to looks for stuff to write on. Malay stuff, bear in mind. Ken Vin, once again, is my other half!!.....I mean partner. (idiot) Made some kind of mind map. And guess guess guess, it is for the 1st assessment. Nice...

Stupid things pop up when you are most vulnerable.
What can possibly be worse than this?? (when in the movies, someone foolish enough says this and something worse comes out of it. Oh well, in this case, foolish=John. misfortune=foolish words. Therefore John=misfortune)

"The time will come when the winnowing fan of the Lord will clear the floor and chaff will be separated from grain. The grain, He will gather and store, but the chaff He will throw in a fire that will never go out."

Ok. That was fast. How fast can time travel?

Today was not exactly boring as it had quite a few elements of a storyline added into it.

Today started out with Jammy getting in a yell at me "Ini bukan benda ketawa ini ha!" when she spotted me coming down late. Well, at first I was "rushing" upstairs with my sis and saw her. I do not avoid Jammy naturally so I said hi! (like she's his best friend or something...) and sauntered upstairs. Guess guess guess. Went down like 5 minutes later and she "screamed" that statement at me. Well! I was jsut gonna attend to my morning duties ok?? haha. No offence Jammy. (she is kinda like my favourite teacher coz she can take a joke or two...but you better not be on her wrong side)

Went up after that to listen to some dronings...Ken Vin came in perspirating like some dog..hahah! I was no better. Bla bla bla....

Assembly. This should be interesting. Indeed it was. After reading someone's post, I was pained to see that I was a pain to that certain person!!! Waaaaa!! *dramatic music plays like some kind of funeral song...something like that.
Oh yeah. And Nazeera has changed from liking soft boned guys to really big mouthed guys. I knew there was something weird about this Nasir. Last time it was graciousness and loveness and then after that was a soft spoken you-know-who that we all know about. Now it is about a certain guy whose mouth must be where his money is or else he would certainly be a all talk no show kind of person. I am confused. (not that I care...)

Oh yeah. Another thing. I 'halau'ed Keegan from his place today. All just to hang my blazer. Haha. Take that. I mean, the blazer has to be aired should it not? After all, guys sweat more than girls and this makes them more susceptible to BO....hah. (wanna sniff me? I bet I smell good 99% of the time...I am all yours.......ok. Forget I ever made an invitation.)

All was pretty boring for the rest of the day. Some kid dissed me off when she was using her silly handphone in the class I was 'shoo'ing (makes them sound like cows whereas we are the herders. Cow Herd!!) and I requested that she stopped using it. She gave me that look and did the bitch act i.e. flinging of hair and continueation of usage of the utility her parents should not have pampered with. I mean, she is sooo ungrateful and starts using it in class and obviously made an open invitation to me to relieve her of it. I after all, have a brick for a handphone (which I am quite glad of sometimes as I often drop this 'brick').

Went for some jogging at bout 5.30 to 6.15. Bla bla.

Life would have been boring if not for some certain experiences. It certainly would would it not?

things to learn this year

After all the 'hustle and bustle' today (meaning I was quite free for the rest of the day i.e. 1.00 to now...) I had managed to think up of some stuff that I really would feel like doing this year. I mean, what does one who has about 10 more hours of free time on a Sunday do? Waste time in the shopping malls? I might do that if I were from a family of some degree of social and financial standing. Problem is, I am just a normal person (or abnormal, depending on what angle you look at it) who has not much things to do on a Sunday except iron his clothes i.e. uniform for the rest of the week. I was sooo busy thinking of what I was going to do for the rest of the year I even ironed a few more extra shirts i.e. some dinner shirts for the fun of it.

List of pondered items on What To Do For The Rest Of The Year

1. Cook extra special dishes. This means I have seriously got to put in more time into peeling veggies and cooking pasta and the like. This is certainly going to take up more time.
2. Paying more attention during history classes. But I think that the only chapter I will be paying attention on is World War 2. Wait. I might sleep too. It is in BM. What a disappointment. Good night....
3. Attend some MUN conferences. KLMUN is on the 3rd of March until the 5th of March! I cannot wait! Another selling point is that it is after the first assessment. Time for more work to be done. I am a work horse! Hhrrruumphhh! (one hell of a crazy one for not wanting to enjoy his holidays after the 1st assessment)
4. Learn some dancing moves. I have to at least learn how to dance to properly present myself for the school prom night for 5th formers and invited ones. Hah! We will see. Wait. This should be priority number one.

We will see. (P.S. This phrase is patented and is only intended for the use of yours truly for the next 100 years.)

Underpaid John Patroniser: We'll see.

Quick! post something!

I have managed to come up with some stuff to say.
1. Wei Li and I approached Ms. Mano about finding a script for our little duet acting and she had suggested Oscar Wilde. That nice guy? I thought to myself. Nevertheless, I will try to put up with that fact and plod on with reading the play "The Importance Of Being Ernest". I have to shamefully admit that the first time I heard Ms. Mano say the plays name, I heard "The Importance Of Being A Nurse". Talk about being deaf.
2. Keegan broke the glass 'peep window' of our class' door. It was a stupid mistake even though he said it was an honest one. I agree with Ken Chong. He was on his way out on a usual teacher assignment and I bet he was feeling rather shitty as he usually gets lap dog work from various teachers as they can count on him. You have my sympathy but not empathy, Keegan. Too bad.
3. I was allegedly accused of calling someone bloody stupid while fulfilling my duties as a prefect and lap dog. This dude was jumping recklessly over his class' tables and miraculously not getting jammed in the middle and rendering himself impotent. Then I said that the classroom is not his house where he can break his balls whenever he likes. Then after that before exiting the forth floor main entrance, he had that 'cari pasal' look and that was when he accused me of calling him bloody stupid. Oh well....
4. Isabell was threatening to strangle me with my tie. I did something I had not done in a long time. I challenged her to do so. Wow. Death by strangling of own tie. Betcha Mr. Rama had plenty of Near Death Experiences in this case. his tie is sooooooo tiny.....perhaps his wife had a sudden rush of something for him every morning when she ties his tie. Whew....do not say I said that.
5. Got a miserable 6 votes to be the platoon leader in Scouts. As usual, none other than Isabell Zubinsha suggested that name. John. And to add salt further, she said that she wanted to see me suffer. I have nothing else to say about that.

That's 5 points made today. What success. Give John an undeserved clap just to make him feel good. That's my boy/girl.

How much would it take to break someone?

What does everyone think about the ripple tank? Or maybe the stroboscope?
Let's face it. School is something of paramount importance in one's life whether one likes it or not. Ok. Then there is the part where we get to R&R during break and lunch times. Then there is the unceasing drone of History to deal with. Solution. Sleep in class for the last 5 minutes during Mr. Rama's lesson. You would need it if you were experiencing what I have been through. I do not believe that the word 'tiring' sums it all. it has to be added with some adjective. How bout 'bloody'? Bloody tiring? Nonono. Dead tired. Yeah. Now there's a hyperbole which all of us can deal with.

As I sit here hunched (and trying not to) over the laptop, I kept wondering about something sick. How much would it take to break someone's heart? Just how much? That question has been playing in my mind for what would seem like eternity and I do not think it will ever cease.
And I kept wondering, why does Stephen King look so horrid? At this age, he looks like some kind of monster. Do not believe me?
What drives people to commit suicide?

Nowadays, I tend to be more careful with myself.
Do not think of me as someone sick. I will get rid of that thought right here right now.....done.
Just a little something to think of the next time you decide to murder someone verbally. Like I always do.

"Sticks and stones may break my bones. Words can never hurt me"
I hereby declare that stupid statement a fraud and ceremonially ban it.

It's words that can break the strongest of men. It drives them to do crazy things.

Have you done anything crazy in your life? I know I have not and I plan not to.

Encouragement in a subtle form...

Ok. Let's face it. Anyone can write something or another. Be it some factual essay (which majority of my classmates absolutely ADORE to do), a story (which require's a certain amount of creativity which most of my classmates do not have..that is not to say that I can write too...) or some informal article. But what I notice most when I write or type anything of my own, there has to be an initial feeling or passion. Hate (no...dislike is a better form, I do not hate), love or happiness. Whatever. Then only will the ideas begin to flow out and the little article becomes a little more interesting. You cannot force someone to write.

Neither can you force someone to play the piano. In this aspect, my sister has been giving me quite a lot of encouragement to open that dreaded piano once again. The beautiful and sorrowful tunes of Clayderman or Mozart can often knock on that unknown or forgotten door of music and that is when you know, music has to come out and greet you another time. Yet again.

So guys, writing will not always come out forced (except when you are sitting for an essay exam....I do not blame you...as if I would. But your English teacher would...) and there has to be a certain pre-existent feeling.

Whopee....

Got Keegan's The Stand from Wei today. I was actually planning to take a little few pages from the tome to present as part of the Oral Interpretation event. You may call me crazy but I am actually planning to read that book all over again. Though my mom disapproves of me reading King, but what interests me the most to his works is that there are quite a few quotes or really memorable (more like chilling and sick) phrases. But of course, these books are not recommended for the faint hearted (now this sounds like some stupid low cost production) as there are quite a few gory scenes. But personally, I seem to think It was better at the scare cheap shots.

Oh yeah, I also had some good news to spread around today (ok, it was kind of like bad news to others...) regarding the duet acting event for the Forensics tournament. Ms Mano passed over some forms to me this morning and it was the the list of potential competitors for the event from our school. Some weeped (ok, I was exaggerating), others screamed (uh....Isabell?) and some gasped (none other than Nazeera Nasir). Oh dear, then after that, Nazeera sort of sauntered into the class and said that she and Isabell were planning to change partners and something along that line and something about it being mutual. Tell ya the truth Nazeera, was that not kind of anti climatic of you?(mood spoiler...oh crap. I will have to be expecting a beating tomorrow...I must be brave since I was brave enough to type that statement out)

Ok. So Wei and I are desperate to find some kind of script to suit us, i.e. the tolerating one and the cynic...I am the latter she's the former. Any questions?
Shakespeare is the only playwright which I know of and many of his plays are kind of oldish and difficult to portray. Not that I am saying that we are both uncapable of pulling it off. In fact, I think we would do quite well. The problem is finding a script which has only two characters and it has got to be more than 6minutes 50seconds and not more than 12 minutes and 10 seconds. Wow, they really have got it down to the seconds. I'll be butched.

And then there was that jogging incident. I kept getting stitches everytime I walk faster than normal speed. It's not that I am tired or anything but this kind of aches really put me off and right now, I feel pissed at myself. This certainly is turning out to be a rather interesting year if you would ask me.

The Great Learning Process otherwie known as Life itself is taking me for one hell of a ride. Who knows where I would end up this year. Who am I to know?

Be yourself.

Went to the International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL) this morning. Upon arrival, as any usual student of Sekolah Sri Garden will do, I started comparing our school to theirs. They had rugby fields and swimming pools. They also have imported teachers and they also have to pay more for their fees. Needless to say, a few cutting remarks were made to Ken Vin. Don't we all do that?

There was this supposed Scotsman who was making the introduction on the SEA Forensics and he had this accent which was quite easy to imitate once you get the hang of it. I have got to get that Scottish touch since I now have the American, British and Australian touch. Perhaps I will acquire the German accent once in Germany (which will only happen in a million years from now considering the situation I am in...do not ask)
And as usual, life is a learning process and I made discoveries once again!! Wohoo! The discovery is....John is an asshole who doesn't really be himself i.e. he is an asshole almost all the time and according to Nik Shazarina The Biggest Bitch she ever met. Wow. Now there's a spot of improvement to work on Mr. Khoo.

Okay okay. So the whole day was not filled with crappy experiences. Chatted a bit with the motherly Isabell who likes to take charge of everything...which is not quite as bad as it looks like. Got hit plenty of times from both Nazeera and some sneering comments from Isabell and Ken Vin. Keshinn was no better. Now what's a spot of word jousting like to me? Heaven! Just like heaven. Jousting not only improves your language and confidence but it also reveales who you really are i.e. either you are an asshole or a prissy pot. I am the former. Not very surprising. Will John succeed in winning the heart of many and being a nice guy? He could if he behaves and attempts to be himself. Which excludes sneering from his vocabulary. I currently have 352 days to prove my mettle. Watch me struggle. And laugh if you like.

Watched The Pathfinder in TGV today. Magdalene came and wanted to catch a movie with Jia Min and my sis today so my ma and I tagged along. The only saving grace the movie has was that it was full fo blood (to me...but to the ladies, it has no saving grace whatsoever) as the movie had scarcely any dialogue and most of the time the Vikings were speaking the ancient version of German and there were buckets of blood being splashed everywhere. Loads of cheapshots too i.e. the stupid sudden scare moments that make it seem like an embarassing gag-reflex to be jumping up in your seat. The popcorn tasted like popcorn...my fingers were frozen while I ate as the place was freezing as usual and when I felt I had enough of the vile stuff, I followed the customary procedure of washing hands when in cinemas i.e. I 'washed' or rather wiped them on the condensed water on the surface of my stale Coke cup. Which was also purchased at the TGV snack counter. Crap.

Oh yeah, before setting foot in the cinema but after purchasing the tickets, my ma and I went to Kinokuniya to check out some books (you mean passing some time by while waiting) and there, I found several authors to the likes of Garth Nix, George Orwell, Ernest Hemingway, Chuck Palahnuick(dat how you spell his name?) and C.S. Lewis. Garth Nix was in the young adults section whereas Orwell was in the literature section. It was a pure 1 hour ++ bliss looking through Nineteen Eighty Four. Found Shakespeare too.

Am I tired? You bet.

My very first time...read on to see if this is corny

No offence. Nearly slept in class today. Preserverance is indeed a full blown God-forsaken virtue. I must be strong and resist the temptation to sleep. Good night...zzzz.
Yeah, that's what happened and pigs can currently fly on their wings. Did I sleep? No way Jose.

My very first taste of the MUN atmosphere i.e. active and really condusive for talking-bout-anything. I mean almost anything including being stupidly cynical and sarcastic to the P and VP. I was less mean to the VP. No slack for the P though. Haha. Which reminds me. I have to be less meaner...to selective people. No mercy for the rest.
They (Shazarina and Isabell) had discussed some pretty importantly exciting stuff which I judiciously took down like what some would say a nerd. Do I look like someone who studies 24/7? Make a guess and let me laugh right in your face if you are wrong. There are a couple of MUN conferences coming right up and I got to familiarise myself with the latest terminology and the protocol of speech i.e. stuff like raising up your hand and saying "Point of Personal Gain" or "Point of Implication" (I think i got dat wrong...) or "Point of so-and-so". So much protocol. What fun. Please do not mistake that for something sarcastic. Personal reminder: KLMUN is on the 3rd to 5th of March. Beg mom.

Fried the vegetables in a different style today. The only reason I was cooking was that my sister was too busy with the silly class timetable...nono! That's not what I meant. The class timetable is not silly! (oh yes it is..if he really did not mean it, he should have deleted the sentence)
And so John goes solo in the cooking of food for tonight's dinner. Beat that. Cooking is fun if you really know what you are doing. Which reminds me that I have to peel more potatoes as I have less experience in peeling em.

1. Put water into wok to boil for approx. 5 minutes.
2. Toss nicely and painstakingly washed and peeled and cut vegetables into the wok. Let it "celur" by itself for a few minutes while stirring it with a ladle.
3. After vegetables have that "cooked" look, take out from wok and turn off fire. Put vege into plate.
4. Fry garlic after that for a few minutes until the garlic has that "golden" and nicely brown cooked look (if you have watched your mom or cook regularly, you would know what I mean).
5. Dish the garlic into the recently semi boiled vegetables and put some soy sauce ( I mean some and not all) and mix the mixture.

The outcome is certainly satisfying if not very tasty as I had done it myself.
Why not YOU try cooking some other time?

more idiotic idioms..(for your benefit, please do not use them in your english essays as they are just make up)

To do last week's homework today
To procrastinate about something (I know a lot of people who do this all of the time. Try not to make it a habit. Make me an example...hah! I do not do things last minute except studying. Wait. That is last minute...). Here's the definition of procrastinate in case some of you do not know what it is. "Can we have the drumrolls??" *prapapapapapapam (that was an onomatopoiea was it not?)
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/procrastinate,
I hate to preach or anything but try not to do any last minute stuff i.e. school projects and especially homework. Peachy, just peachy. He managed to get in some saintly words. Kindly applaud him. He needs it.

Can I walk in a straight line? Yes dumbass.

Went to mass this morning wearing a pink checkered shirt. Quite nice patterns and shade actually. I have absolutely no idea why I was feeling morose. I felt as if I was having some PMS or something. For those of you who are reading my blog for the first time I am a guy.

Mid Valley Minimall was up next on the list today and went to MPH to look for some decent books before McDonalds opened. Tried to look up Garth Nix but did not have much will to ask the 'counter-ladies' i.e. the store workers. Felt morose like I said. Lame excuse. Saw Jeffrey Archer's False Impression for the second time and felt sooo tempted to get it but unfortunately under the unavoidable circumstances which has befallen me right now, answer is no from my mom. And no you do not need to poke your big nose into what circumstances i have. Just enjoy reading the blog and shut up.

Got fed up after spending half and hour in MPH and went to La Manila to eat instead. They open at 11.45. We were there at 11.00. Perfect.

Went scouring for groceries at Jusco after that. Mom surprisingly bought some steaks. 4 to be exact.

Left after eating McDonalds after all. Went straight home...the end.

No. That was not the end. Went jogging at approximately 5 pm. Just for the sake of building up endurance levels and not have a bout of epilepsy like some people I know. Oh yeah, for those of you who do not know why I am doing this because either you are a rather distant friend who wishes not to partake in sharing with me some news, I am running for the 400 meters track event. Wow! What a big achievement! John finally wants to take part in a school sports even and is even planning on showing up on sports day! This is something which does not happen often...

Underpaid Cynical John Patroniser: Why not we all give John a well deserved round of applause??

He should have said that in a lackadaisical tone. What fun.

Crap aside. Had a dinner consisting of steak, rice and vegetables. To top it off, we (my mom, sis and I) had it with red wine!

Which brings the following quote from Joe Camber in Stephen King's Cujo to mind....

"Since when can we afford to eat like the Rockefellers?"....

And i drank a glass of wine. Piece of cake. Do i feel woozy or start yammaleezling? Yatata-yatata-yatata?? No way. Like taking candy from a baby.

I have never felt so clear headed and coherent as I type this sentence down. School tomorrow. got some serious work to be done.

Signing on...i mean off.

First Saturday of the year. Whoopee...

Woke up this morning feeling rather pissy. Sneezed a couple of times and had some rather watery eyes. The watery eyes were for no apparent reason (my lame excuse is I am sensitive to the air and sunlight) but the sneezes were for bathing for 2 mornings in a row when I am not used to it. Went to the market also to help my mom purchase and carry some groceries like a bellboy.

"Ma'am, may I help you?"

Carried some squealers (dead porkers meaning pork meat...duh!) among the other usual stuff. Let us see what else will happen today. Hoooohum....

Monday, 1 January 2007

This is something of a personal nature....

Someone urged me to have some new year's resolutions. Well....here they are. Finally I have mustered the courage that is always hidden inside a closet of myself to think of some stupid resolutions. (Oh yeah...all these resolutions came at the spur of the moment i.e. when I was typing the blog entry...)

1. I will have to reduce the quality and length and frequency of emitting foul words out of this single orifice which we are all enabled to speak out of. Which will make me eventually a new person but alas, I am not sure how long I can last out there. Life is a cruel world full of cursing people (one of them is me...sadly).
2. Shall I work harder in my studies?? Does a question make it to the new year resolution list? No matter the answer, I will certainly work harder. I think.
3. When I was a little less older and maturer, all I could think of was myself and what can I do to make my day a less boring day. Selfish stuff like that. Now, I want to brighten up other people's day even though I feel down (which I do occasionally feel) so that in turn, I can make impacts in other lives. Not just mine. (That's our John....sooo selfless!!! Yeah right.)
4. After the previous resolution, I also resolve not to praise myself too often even though it is just to make people laugh at my peacock-esque, narcissistic and exaggerated nature. 'Coz, often, the line between making people laugh and offending people in my case often gets blurred as some people choose not to see humour as it is but distort the facts. Thus...less self praise altogether. Shut me up next time.
5. I will make more friends and acquaintances during my final year of tenure in Sekolah Sri Garden as there are still some people i do not know very well. I met this girl during the last few weeks of school and I had really liked to talk to her longer and stuff but the holidays were already pouncing upon us all. Imagine, I did not even know she had the capabilities to talk like THAT before but now I am regrettably saddened by the fact that there are many other people like her in school that I will never know of...sob!!! Oh just damn that resolution. I will look for more friends. selectively of course. if I do not like you or feel difficult to communicate with you, so sorry.
6. Ok. There will be loads of international programmes next year and...well. Hopefully I get to join one or two. Hopefully two. The time to shine overseas!! Yes! (well, what he actually did in America was getting embarassed by the 2 American girls in the plane. Damn flirters. Never will I get caught again. Which brings me to my next resolution)
7. Is flirting a hobby of mine? Have I ever gotten ensnared in this immoral activity? Ok...immoral sounds like it was a mortal sin. I mean, flirting is a waste of time and emotions (unless u have someone special. Then again, what the heck) Resolution: Do not flirt too much.
Haha, this is something out of Animal Farm when Squealer altered the previous 7 Commandments of Animalism i.e. Napoleon cheated his fellow animals and the farm was restored to its old ways i.e. when Jones was in charge.

Seven is the magic number!! Actually, it's not but I have run out of ideas.

A little something in dark times....

"There's no salvation without suffering. It's cheap magic, but it's all we have."
-by Sandra Stansfield in The Breathing Method by Stephen King
