Hah. This will be the 70th post. I am well on my way to a hundred and nothing can stop me! Well, except maybe if you happen to include time, studies, running out of stupid ideas and last but not least my mom.
I will call for mercy to rain down this very moment if I have the ability to do so. Save me from this oh-so-imminent destruction. The will to focus on studying now is so fickle I can hardly stop thinking of books. Novels to be precise. Which brings me to my next point. (Ok, I am starting to sound like Dharma and Kelvin with all their factual essay words coming into play in short narratives. What the heck. I mean, how can you insert crap like "furthermore" into a narrative or short story at the beginning of a new paragraph? Save that for the stupid factuals. Hope everyone learns something from this little snide comment and not repeat that stupid mistake.)
Next point: I have finished Kafka on The Shore. For the second time. What an achievement. When I first read it I was what? 15 years old? Now I am approaching that oh-so-sweet-n-sour sixteen which to me sounds like some kinda candy (sweet sixteen? too girly...I prefer sexy sixteen...) I happen to understand that novel far better. All those little metaphors and deep stuff. The way the novel turned out towards the end was kind of depressing and sad. As of all novels I have read. It usually ends up in someone or a group of people dying. I think Jia Min and Keegan agree with me when I say that Miss Saeki's death is a real waste after all those little "favours" she had been giving Kafka. What a waste right? hehe...I do believe that Haruki Murakami is a good writer. Reading his novels are like some kind of an other world experience, just like Stephen King. It takes a lot for people to impress me. I show like I have some liking to some people and try to be nice. But unfortunately some people fail to live up to my expectations. Still, we live and let live.
Next book coming up!!!
A Year in Merde by Stephen Clarke. We will just have to see if this novel is as equally sexy as Kafka on Ze Shore....Wit would be a plus, after all that depressing crap from Ze Shore.
