Hearts in Atlantis

This book here, my friends, is such a exceedingly good read. Ok, bleeding good read.
One of my favourite aspects of King's novels are that they are laced with cynical and twisted remarks. Ok, I am not alien to his great works and that was the main reason why I jumped up and down like a mad clown when Wei told me she had Hearts in Atlantis...here are some really stupid and laughable one liners:

Here's a situation: Bobby knew what was coming next, it was his mother's all time favourite.
"Life isn't fair."
I mean, that statement is an understatement do you not agree?

"Tempus fugit." Time flies...what the heck? See, I told you this book was full of ripshit. Haha, and I enjoy reading trash, but I also enjoy a good historical novel or something, just like a nerd. Hah.

Hey, they even had a quote from the Bible:
"For I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner. Spare me, that I may recover strength, before I go hence and be no more."
Now that's what I call dark stuff. Do not venture too deep, I have been there and I think its sick.

Well, they also had something on the Lord of The Flies. I read that book and I think it rocks too. but its also kinda dark...macabre. Yeah.

"So what's the story morning glory?" A little shut upper. Hah.

'She almost never swore, said that cursing and what she called "dirty talk" was the language of the ignorant.'
Ok, so I am ignorant. Sue me and the others.

"You have to eat a peck of dirt before you die."

"Two men looked out through prison bars, one saw the mud and one saw the stars." What does that mean?

'...and Bobby saw what his mother's mouth change as it always did when he ventured a question about his late father. The change made him think of a purse that she had: when you pulled on the drawstrings, the hole at the top got smaller.' Sounds like a really mean mom. She kept grudges and paid them back later by the way. Keegan, you should be well informed about what you will venture into later.

"I trust him (or her) as far as i could sling a piano." Self explainatory.

"A fool and his money are soon parted." Haha, an age old adage.

Ok, that's enough. I have a lot more to read. Haha. Have you started doing something really beneficial this hols? I know I have.
