Just another holiday?
Well, today was just like my average holiday...slightly monotonous. The human mind marvels me sometimes. At certain times, we desire something more or different. Then at other times, we wish for something else. Humans...as I will now draw a conclusion, are never satiated and never will be. It is the incessant arduous pursuit of something better in life that drives our very souls into putting up with every and each boring day hoping for something new. So in my case...this speaks for myself..no further comment about this question.
As of today...the moment I woke up..I turned on my laptop...as usual...just to see what kind of HTML tutorials they have out there to make my blog look a whole lot better....with of course...to no avail as my wireless...pardon me, my neighbour's wireless (someone whom I do not even know...I am leeching from) kicked up a fuss and left me stranded in cyberspace networks with no way of getting out except closing the window...which I eventually did. Hardy har har...
Attempted to do a bit of revision of school work and I discovered that I could not concentrate...something that happens often when I feel relaxed or when I am not sitting for an exam and I am studying at the very last moment. Somehow the stress mechanism just kicks in and I am able to study and burn the hurricane lamp (matter of speech..I live comfortably enough and do not have to see a gasoline lamp at night) for the following day's examination.
Was kind of disappointed of myself...but hey, that's life.
The entire afternoon was spent with me and my sis clicking the laptop mouse furiously while we killed armies of "baddies". How drab.
*****
For a change today...my ma had just called me to do something about my room as she sauntered in to hang her clothes in the so-called clothes 'wardrobe'...which is the unused shower stall in the bathroom. Well...it went like this:
"John, can you please do something about your room? It is in a deplorable state."
reply:
"Uh...ok."
Now where have I heard that statement before? Beats me. The only time I clean out my room is when my ma promises my sis and I a reward if we do...I sound sooo mercenary do I not? My mom never had to ask my sis Kim to clean out her room because...you know...it is always clean...unlike mine. I claim GENDER RIGHTS to keep my room dirty!!!!!!! Now what have you got to say about that?
I would like to cap the day off by chatting with my new-found friend, Isabell but unfortunately the wireless seems discouraging to my intends...so...sigh.
