whoopee!! We all have circa 3 weeks left for SPM to finally reach us!
Of course, while I was sitting for the second SPM trial together with my mates, I happen to have come across really interesting moments.
For example, I had finished yet another book before the exam: The Lies of Locke Lamora.
Quite brilliant actually save for its vulgarity. But then again, a diamond does not shine at first.
Another example of how my period of examinations was made lively was my little trip back from school. My sis and I sat Dharma's car to go home! haaaa! Now that was fun.
Kudos (according to my sis is quite a cliched word.
Oh yeah, yesterday we all watched Brokeback Mountain. Haha. Ok, it was sooo gay I tuned out and played some games after 20-30 minutes. Two guys fucking each other. One of the gayest films of this year. Yuck.
Innocent Bystander: That was a pretty boring account of that brief 25 days. Hohum.
Me: sorry, I just cannot seem to come up with something substantial. wth. Better go swot. BTW, GTA Vice City sucks. Sry for not listening to you, Ken Vin.

Am I a Fireman Now?
In Queensland, Australia, a 26-year-old mother
stared down at her 6-year
old son, who was dying of terminal leukaemia.
Although her heart was filled
with sadness, she also had a strong feeling of
determination. Like any
parent, she wanted her son to grow up & fulfil all
his dreams. Now that was
no longer possible. The leukaemia would see to that.
But she still wanted
her son's dream to come true. She took her son's
hand and asked, "Ben, did
you ever think about what you wanted to be once you
grew up? Did you ever
dream and wish what you would do with your life?"
"Mummy, I always wanted to be a fireman when I grew
up."
Mum smiled back and said, "Let's see if we can make
your wish come true."
Later that day she went to her local fire Station in
Brisbane, where she
met Fireman Bob, who had a heart as big as
Queensland. She explained her
son's final wish and asked if it might be possible
to give her 6-year old son a
ride around the block on a fire engine.
Fireman Bob said, "Look, we can do better than that.
If you'll have your
son ready at seven o'clock Wednesday morning, we'll
make him an honorary
fireman for the whole day. He can come down to the
fire station, eat with us,
go out on all the fire calls, the full Monty! And if
you'll give us his sizes,
we'll get a real fire uniform for him, with a real
fire hat - not a toy -one
with the emblem of the Queensland Fire & Rescue
Department on it, a
yellow slicker like we wear and rubber boots.
They're all manufactured right
here in Brisbane, so we can get them fast."
Three days later Fireman Bob picked up Ben, dressed
him in his uniform
and escorted him from his hospital bed to the
waiting truck.
Ben got to sit on the back of the truck and help
steer it back to the
fire station. He was in heaven. There were three
fire calls in Brisbane that
day and Ben got to go out on all three calls. He
rode in the different fire
engines that day. He was also videotaped for the
local news programme.
Having his dream come true, with all the Love and
attention that was
lavished upon him, so deeply touched Ben, that he
lived three months
longer than any doctor thought possible.
One night all of his vital signs began to drop
dramatically and the head
nurse, who believed in the hospice concept - that no
one should die alone,
began to call the family members to the hospital.
Then she remembered the day Ben had spent as a
fireman, so she called
the Fire Station and asked if it would be possible
to send a fireman in
uniform to the hospital to be with Ben as he made
his transition.
The Officer in charge replied, "We can do better
than that. We'll be there
in five minutes. Will you please do me a favour?
When you hear the sirens
screaming and see the lights flashing, will you
announce over the PA
system, that there is not a fire? It's the
department coming to see one of its
finest members one more time. And will you open the
window to his room?
About five minutes later a hook and ladder truck
arrived at the hospital
and extended its ladder up to Ben's third floor open
window - 16 fire-fighters
climbed up the ladder into Ben's room.
With his mother's permission, they hugged him and
held him and told him
how much they LOVED him.
With his dying breath, Ben looked up at the fire
chief and said, "Chief,
am I really a fireman now?"
"Ben, you are, and the Head Chief, Jesus, is holding
your hand," the O.I.C
said. With those words, Ben smiled and said, "I
know, He's been holding my
hand all day, and the angels have been singing.." He
closed his eyes one
last time.
My instructions were to send this to at least four
people that I wanted
the Gods to bless and I picked you.
--Well, I did post it for the whole world to see did I not?

yosh.
This should count as post number 100. The previous was just a saying.
1. The first day I went back to school with this hairdo, guess who popped up while Ken Vin was criticizing me for not following our "pact". Zachary Hon Heng Soon. WTH. He came to blabber on about being a reptile and told us that shaving every single hair on our bodies will do just right. Yeah, right. I would like to see you hairless.
2. Finally managed to conquer yet another obstacle in my way: a book series. Haaa. It is called the Legend of the Five Rings aka Rokugan. The title was not clear anyway but what the heck. It is a D&D thing, all these serial books. Keegan was busy raving about it a few weeks ago and right after his incessant babbling, he shoved a book into my hand:
The First Scroll: The Scorpion
There were all together 7 books and here I am, almost 3 weeks later, alive and breathing having completed the series.
3. Yayaya Wei Li, you would say that the author took sooo much time to write it and I finish it in a matter of days. The Harry Potter series was a cakewalk though I would not want to read it again. It nearly destroyed my eyesight. But then again, my eyesight ain't that good anyways.
4. Tzuk and Boonz took to calling Keegan a traitor. =.=?? Looks like Keegan is the noob traitor now heh?
5. Oh and by the way (this is more of an announcement to myself anyway...) Dharma promised me a free set of skipping ropes! Yes, now I can exercise from the comfort of the unit I live in! Perhaps I will make a hole in the ceiling of the unit below mine.
6. Encik Wan has gone mad.
Arizwan: Saya ada lapan set soalan untuk kamu semua buat.
Us(5SC1): Aaah? Apa cikgu? Ayah, tak perlu buatlah!
Arizwan: Apa? Hai, saya dah fotostat dah. Kamu semua akan buat sampai muntah nilai.
And today, he gave us a fresh set of crap to finish. Suddenly, the forecast results don't seem so important. Wait, what am I thinking. Don't be stupid.
Ken Vin was crazy-er.
KV: Ayah, don't need to do wan lah.
7.
In winter's sorrow
Despairing shadows gone long
In my eyes, spring dawns.
--the haiku of a dead samurai
Got that from the last book of the aforementioned series.
8. Happy birthday Ng Wei Li.

paper bombs and flimsy dogfights
Yes yes!! Today we all went to watch some film on World War 2 during Mr Rama's lesson. Wohoo!
Though I could actually spot a certain few people bringing their Maths exercises into the theaterette (or however you spell it). Wow, you can see in the dark. That's a pretty cool feature. That a new and rare genetic variation?
Unfortunately for Malaysia, I have managed to interpret the film.
The one thing that we, citizens of this 'cemerlang', 'gemilang' and 'terbilang' Malaysia lack is patriotism and nationalism. When I saw scenes of Mussolini and Hitler uniting their people with flaming speeches, I could only see our leaders pointing at each other in the Dewan Rakyat and Dewan Negara and telling each other who leaks once a month. How's that for patriotism?
I am sorry Malaysia, for I will be criticizing you for the months and maybe years to follow.

The regrets of this superficial life...
Yes, I have finally finished reading The Game by Neil Strauss. Well, what seemed at first to be like an indispensable guide to seducing women has turned out to be filled with moral lessons. I really am grateful I have been given the chance to read this book by Wei. No doubt I wanted to read it because of its intriguing storyline (Jia Min and Keegan AND Ze Yen would have said for the 'hamsup' scenes...even though I have found little enjoyment reading them..pointless) and guess where it has brought me now.
Let me further attempt to shed some light ahead with this aged hurricane lamp.
1. Picking up girls is definitely not what life is all about. People think professional pickup artists are the kings of the world and have the best piece of life i.e. girls. I used to think about that too. Only to discover how shallow and phony that 'fact' is.
Reality check: We all want to be loved at some point or another by one who is sincere and cannot always have one-night-stands. One can only rely on porn to a certain extent. After that, fulfillment is no longer there. What remains is a hollow shell of what used to be us.
2. Life, cannot be rehearsed. You cannot say lines and lines (routines is what they call it in the book) over and over again without breaking up. What I mean is that pick up lines are only meant for cavemen with no other interests in life besides women and women and women. Try to be genuine when interacting with people. Ok, let me rephrase that. Be genuine, be yourself when socialising. No false fronts. Be brutal. Be honest. Like me. For further information on how one should feel, refer to point 1.
3. Being too fanatical on one thing in life could very well destroy oneself. Take for example, playing video games. Addiction. Another very good example which comes from this book is picking up girls. Same thing. Sarging is an addiction too.
"What about God??" you may say. Even though He said, "Love no other gods but me." it does not mean you should love Him in that sick twisted way as to kill all life forms He created by blowing yourselves up. If he wanted to destroy life, he would have sent the second flood (according to the Bible, there was a first flood, Noah and his family were the only humans left after that). Nothing is a problem with God. So if you really want a good spouse, I suggest you start praying for one and do something about it, not go 'sarging'.
With that, hopefully life will be more fulfilling for you. Never hesitate to ask for help.
Signing off,
Yours truly.

books i have been reading...

This book is indeed a good read. What is best about it is that I am not turning into a rapist. This book belongs to Wei Li. If indeed you want to borrow it, ask her. I cannot tell you much about the details but what I can tell you is that this book is for desperado casanovas. Meaning desperate playboys. It teaches you how to pick up girls which might be useful for those nerds out there (but first you have gotta know English, and are able to siphon the crap and the facts as it is told narrative style). One things for sure, I do not want to become a PUA (pickup artist) neither do I want to be an AFC (average frustrated chump) I just want to be an AMOG (alpha male of the group). Quite a lot of hardcore words (fuck..etc) and scenes (you get what I mean...) so it is not intended for perverts as they will learn more here than they ever will online.
This book, I had borrowed from Ken Vin. Well, actually he mistook it's white cover for NEXT. Oh well. Not a bad medical kind of thriller. I do not usually read thrillers fast as they are not quite my cup of milo but hey, I am halfway. It tells of people stealing organs from unsuspecting victims. Not bad. Still I love milo better. Hah. NEXT!

MERDEKA!!!!...(-.-")
Yesyes. Today is indeed one of the most (and only) significant events of this year for Mother Malaysia. Ah, today started off with much fanfare. Ok, the usual fanfare. Government servants attending the parade at Merdeka Square and government school students or universities parading their floats.
Military fly bys with their new Sukhois (2nd hand...) from Russia.
The demonstration of the nations elite TUDM, TDDM, and TDLM.
All right all right, I get where I am coming from. This sounds like a mighty cynical post does it not?
Oh yeah, thank GOD they did not try to use the Nuri s for some performance. Probably end a future ace pilot's career (and life..).
Well, I recently took part in an essay competition that Puan Siti claimed was compulsory.
It is themed 'Malaysiaku Cemerlang, Gemilang dan Terbilang'. What an oh-so-suitable theme.
Well, essentially I gave them some pointers (in a student of Malaysia's perspective) on how to improve the country. That is, after all, the whole point of the essay right? To get some tips from not only the government school students but from the private school sector as well on how to rule Malaysia.
Guess what turned out of the compulsory essay we were 'coerced' into doing:
-1 person passed up the following day (Amanda's newspaper article plus some additions on Tuesday)
-3 persons passed up on Wednesday (Mik, me and Lek)
-1 person passed up on Thursday (Keegan)
What happened to the other 24 students of 5Sc1??
Too little time I guess.
Yeah, yeah. We younger generation do seem to take the country's past and present leaders for granted. We take our independence lightly. We take almost everything lightly, in fact, save for the gothic n black metal cultures. 'Lala'
P.S.
Will the judges from the MOE accept an essay of a student of 16 years old telling them on how to tie their shoelaces (governing the country) ??

on patriotism and loyalty to this soil
A few moments ago, my sis had said something about the KL Towers having different lights yesterday night. Don't know bout you, but only recently have I noticed that the tower seems to be quite psychedelic in terms of lighting. Maybe it's because Mr. Abdullah wanted to make a difference during his reign. Whatever the case, I am sure changing the light bulbs on the tower must cost some taxpayer's money. OUR money. "Is this a waste of resources?", one may ask.
Suddenly, a door leading to that hall of problems open up. Guess who opened it? Our government. People start questioning why should their money be wasted on minute details? Loyalty comes to mind. With our 50th year of independence anniversary coming up....
Yesterday, I was watching tv until very late, or should you say, early in the morning.
"K-19 The Widowmaker" was the movie that so enthralled me ever since I saw it in my grams hse.
I did not really understand the whole point of the movie, until yesterday.
It was during the Cold War times where Russians and Americans were having, yet another arms race. And this time, the "Motherland" discovered this new but still infant knowledge to toy with: Nuclear Submarines. (K-19 was one of the foremost subs to be powered with nuclear tech...)
Somehow, it was not assembled properly at the docks and when the time came for the submarine to perform a maneuver, somehow (yet again) due to the rushed job of the Russians to gain naval supremacy, the coolant leaked. Sailors had to repair them using chemical suits and not radiation suits due to some fellows incompetency to provide them the right equipment.
Bottom line is, those sailors died for their country. Just 10 minutes of exposure to radiation can rearrange your cells, genes, chromosomes, whatever we learn in Bio. Were they willing to die for Russia? You bet.
Thing is, if ever a situation like that arises with Malaysians, one which questions our willingness to die for this "tanah tumpah darahku", will we answer that call?
Not too long ago, the newspaper posted an article on how to check your status with the National Service Department: are you enlisted or not? (or did you"kena" or not?!)
Every so often I hear people 'congratulating' or 'mourning' their selection. In this area I wish to adopt a neutral stance. After all, it is not my time yet right?
Where do you stand when it comes to being loyal to Malaysia?

Insightful
Ok, those of you who do not believe there is a God, read this just for leisure or bugger off, whichever you think suits you.
1. God wants spiritual fruit, not religious nuts.
2. Dear God, I have a problem, it's me.
3. Growing old is inevitable. Growing up is optional.
4. There is no key to happiness. The door is always open.
5. Silence is often misinterpreted but never misquoted .
6. Do the math. Count your blessings.
7. Faith is the ability to not panic.
8. Laugh every day, it's like inner jogging.
9. If you worry, you didn't pray. If you pray, don't worry.
10. As a child of God, prayer is kind of like calling home everyday.
11. Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.
12. The most important things in your house are the people.
13. When we get tangled up in our problems, be still. God wants us to be still so He can untangle the knot.
14. A grudge is a heavy thing to carry.
15. He who dies with the most toys is still dead.

New stuff!!!!!!!!
The brightest bulb in the box.
This idiom I have supposedly coined up (if it is the first of its kind that is...) actually means the same thing to "the sharpest knives in the drawer".
Ok, for those people who understand relatively slower (an euphemism) than the rest, it actually is used to describe the smartest genii of this planet.
For example:
"Although he was not one of the brightest bulbs in the box, he still worked hard in his studies and eventually achieved his desired result:11As in SPM."
To feed a king and starve a nation.
This stays true to its meaning. A king, on one hand, is filthily rich. Who the heck needs to spoon him? He's got all the money he can get. Garner more? You have got to be kidding me. Look at your less-than-average citizens. Scraping a living while you live in a palace.
To pray for snow in the desert.
This task is a fruitless effort made. So people say, but looking at the state of the earth now, all that global warming and bizarre weather changes, it could be possible. But that is not the point is it? (something like Looking For A Rain God...)

We're sooo not over!
Hah! After the long and dreary Moral exam yesterday (yeah, we had to write, and write, and write "nilai murni" after "nilai murni" and I nearly fainted). I spotted Edmund from 5Sc3 sleeping after the first 30 minutes. Oh well.
The going home part was the most exciting part of the day....as far as I can tell.
Just kidding.
Upon reaching home, I raced to the laptop to kill some virtual krauts. The immediate reaction was euphoria, mixed with guilt, after all, I am planning to go to Germany...
And, Keegan lent me this: Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows.
More fantasy and less reality checks. Private Drive is spelt Privet Drive. Wthbbq.
I shall proceed to summarise today's events:
1. We went to St Anthony's Church at 9 right after market shopping. Today's groceries weighed a tonne.
2. A lot of 'lala' people came too. A lot of undesirable ass-cracking and navel-revealing. Arrgh!
3. Met up with old pals, Amanda Khoo and Anne Yap.
4. Made an "important" discovery:
MYTH: people like to throw rubbish around everywhere.
REALITY CHECK: Malaysians like to throw rubbish around.
I would be damned the first day no Malaysian ever litters during a public event.
Oh yeah, and SPM Trial 1 has only passed. There still is a Trial 2 and the 'real thing'.

only eight people....
Yesterday, the inauguration of a ceremony: The Prefects' Gathering of Sekolah Sri Garden. Theme of the evening: REACH FOR THE STARS (personally I find it to be quite...lame? sry dharma...still, no one had any good ideas so the head had to make an executive decision...lol)
How many people were present (you may ask) for that prestigious event?
Uh, two schools?
Wow. How many prefects came from the schools?
Um....ah...ehe...eight?
0.0?
=.="
Yes, the prefects' gathering yesterday was attended by only eight people. Still as Amanda says, the show must go on (something to that effect..). It's better to go ahead with the games instead of not having any at all. After the speeches the 2 head honchos aka Jamie and Puan Hasnah filed out of the hall in a dignified manner. All hell broke loose. Literally.
The Amazing Banana Race Part 2
So fellow SSG prefects joined in. I thought, why the stupid title? Then Dharma brought out the big guns. They did look like guns:bananananananananas. There were combs and combs and combs of them. Ok. That was amazing.
After that Amanda and I were left to fend for ourselves as the participants received their instructions and ran out of the hall.
Some clues were kinda screwed up and the GMs manning the stations did not even have pens. wth. But never the less, we had put up a good show. That was after the girls from SBU left. For tuition. They were going to tuition in their sports attire and foul (garlicy) breath. Disgusting. Thank God I did not play the game. Haha! The benefits of being an emcee. Hah!
Dharma and Nazeera sang Destiny during the performances after the race. I mean, belted out 'their version' of Destiny. The mike Dharma was having was screwy. Nazeera, fortunately was not trying too hard...lo.
Nik Shazarina became the Ice Queen she really was. She had flour all over her. Mugen became an old man. Sanjeev was dripping from a mixture of flour and water. All of them had bad breaths. Except the emcees.
Give the head and dep head some due credit. tks to jamie too.
End of Part1.
Part2.
Today's visit to the disabled home was not as bad as I had envisioned it to be. Too bad Ken Vin did not come. It was raining like crap by the time we got there. Bottomline was, I kinda realised I might been taking things too lightly and for granted thus far. Had fun talking to them anyway.

Taylor's trip as crappy as it can possibly get..
With classmates such as these, sigh.
At least some people (like Amanda and Lek) were honest in saying that they will not be going to the stupid overamped promotional Taylors trip which was essentially a waste of time.
As I sat there listening to some stuff unrelated to the syllabus (at least I learnt something about particle motion...Li Wei, study more please!) and that was the only consolation. Wait, lunch was good too...because it was free.
Was just informed just now that the trip to Taylors was not compulsory...there they were coercing us into joining the bandwagon...(coerce is my word of the year).
The prefects' gathering is in circa 3 hours time. What will happen to all of us? Will there be at least a few schools turning up to at least give us some face? Or will we be EMBARASSED??
Haha, no doubt some people will be turning up, question is, how many?
Oh by the way, hopefully the 'Amazing Banana Race' is as good and as amazing as it is spelt.

The Ultra Fat Post (post number 88..fat fat)
Yes, an oh-so-auspicious post! Not that I believe in that crap.
Wait, today is Friday the Thirteenth!
So?
Yes, what utter nonsense. Here is an excerpt of an article I found on Wikipedia when I had typed "Friday the Thirteenth."
"
The popular painting of the Last Supper, with stories that Judas numbered among the thirteen guests (Jesus plus his 12 apostles), and that the Crucifixion of Jesus occurred Friday. However, Judas was not actually present for the latter part of the meal.
The Knights Templar:
One theory, recently offered up as historical fact in the novel The Da Vinci Code, holds that it came about not as the result of a convergence, but a catastrophe, a single historical event that happened nearly 700 years ago.
The catastrophe was the decimation of the Knights Templar, the legendary order of "warrior monks" formed during the Christian Crusades to combat Islam. Renowned as a fighting force for 200 years, by the 1300s the order had grown so pervasive and powerful it was perceived as a political threat by kings and popes alike and brought down by a church-state conspiracy, as recounted by Katharine Kurtz in Tales of the Knights Templar (Warner Books: 1995):
"On October 13, 1307, a day so infamous that Friday the 13th would become a synonym for ill fortune, officers of King Philip IV of France carried out mass arrests in a well-coordinated dawn raid that left several thousand Templars — knights, sergeants, priests, and serving brethren — in chains, charged with heresy, blasphemy, various obscenities, and homosexual practices. None of these charges was ever proven, even in France — and the Order was found innocent elsewhere — but in the seven years following the arrests, hundreds of Templars suffered excruciating tortures intended to force 'confessions,' and more than a hundred died under torture or were executed by burning at the stake."
"
"
- "It's been estimated that [U.S] $800 or $900 million is lost in business on this day because people will not fly or do business they would normally do." [4]
Some people are so paralyzed by fear that they are simply unable to get out of bed when Friday the 13th rolls around. The Stress Management Center and Phobia Institute estimates that more than 17 million people are affected by a fear of this day. [5] Despite that, representatives for both Delta and Continental Airlines say that their airlines don't suffer from any noticeable drop in travel on those Fridays. [6]
A British Medical Journal study has shown that there is a significant increase in traffic-related accidents on Friday the 13ths.[7]
"How lame can people be? Go figure.
Oh yeah, on to my main points. (ala debate style)
1. The Elocution Contest in conjunction with Language Week has been postponed. Some may yell 'hoorah!!!' or some may say 'shit' depending on which side of the wheel you are on, the one on top (dont get dirty i.e. people who have been preparing) or on the bottom (gets the shit i.e. people who have been preparing and then the event gets postponed..). I am the former and latter meaning I have been doing last minute preparations but I have prepared quite a lot. (1 hour spent writing it...). Can human laugh and cry at the same time? Ask my sis.
2. I cannot believe this: Miss Tan and Qayyum whacked Li Wei and I at badminton. Oh God, here we have already been panting while we were playing with Qayyum and along came Ms Tan.
"Court empty ah? I want to play!"
Hoooo...shit.
3. Keegan has quite a temper. I suddenly realise that he is being overwhelmed by work given by teachers. Not that it suddenly began, it has taken its roots since he became class monitor for a few years in a row. A group of teachers had the inspiration to chuck all their work on a very helpful, very agreeable and kind young lad, Keegan Lee Guan Ru. Someone please help him.
4. Next week is the Prefects Gathering. We have called quite a number of schools to attend but so far I have heard that St Mary's is the only one to respond. -.-
5. Mosquitoes have been plaguing my room!!! Everywhere I go in the house I am greeted by one thirsty bloodsucker. Piece of cucumber! If I ever see one in school I will kill it. Then perhaps mount it onto a wall like I have done countless numbers in the toilet at home.
6. Not forgetting SSGMUN. It was kinda anticlimactic towards the end. What a bummer. The delegates were debating on only two topics and there was not much to write about. Nik said that the newsletters were good though. Thanks to Ming, my sis, and Andrea. Whew. Glad that is over.

SSGMUTINY
Ahoy there pirate, yessiree, we shall overthrow the captain of our ship today, Nik Shazarina a.k.a. Secretary General this very moment. Hyeho.
Nah, just kidding Nik, just in case you read it.
Yes, day 1 of The NATO conventions (SSGMUN actually, but Amanda understands what I mean) was exactly as I said it was. The opening speeches were quite dreary but overall, I had managed to amass a fortune of goodies also known as gossip, latest info on how to embarrass certain delegates. Nazeera was one of them. You would know by tomorrow, Nazi.
I had my fair share of stuttering delegates and "uh...ah..."ing delegates.
And, I had reported all of their bloopers just like Isabell Zubinsha instructed me to.
So delegates, beware of what you do or say tomorrow, my mobile spy and recon reporter a.k.a. the-silent-one -who-will-be-revealed-at-the-end-of-the-conference will be on the prowl.
Deputy Chair of GA1, Lek Ken Vin did not see much action but I trust you would be more excited tomorrow as Isabell has to more take rests. I better cross my fingers that we would have enough articles and stuff to write. I am sooo eager.
Head Reporter signing off.

Busy busy
Have I gotten myself too deep in the brown warm stuff?
There is SSGMUN (empty talk, no action) next week and there is also the Elocution Contest which is also, to my amazement and "horror" next week, in conjunction with what we call, Language Week. Well, well. These are the topics that are put forward by Amanda and Keegan:
Music makes the world go round.
Academic results are our topmost priority. Discuss.
Green is the colour.
Laughter is the best medicine.
Punctuality.
Freedom of speech.
The abundance of topics and the freshness of my mind to this newness makes these topics very intimidating. Oh heaven.

I am soo Thrilled!
One of the only things worth mentioning yesterday was that during Physical Ed, our new and latest PE teacher, Miss-whatshername...? delayed us all from playing our badminton. Ok, maybe it did not affect me much, but you should see Boonz and Dharma. They were incensed, angry, pissed, mad, furious. Whichever word floats your boat, they were pissed all right. And Mr Joseph was going along with her plans with a resigned tone which I think she should learn to recognise...=.= I feel sorry for him.
Today, we wasted 2 periods practicing for a dance we did not practice. Sounds too complicated for your limited brain space devoted to analysing? (ok, that felt real mean...) Meaning we were not practicing for 2 whole periods=1 hour and a half...When we finally did, I finally managed to hear the song of my childhood i.e. Michael Jackson's Thriller. I have seen the MTV when I was little, and I thought that pae looked rather cool as a skeleton.
Oh yeah, and Amanda is purportedly gonna learn the dance steps by tomorrow. Haha, we will see.
And there was that ho-hum talk about Actuarial Science. You shitting me? Almost 2 hours were spent on talking about Taylor's ADP program and actuarial science was..almost nonexistent. A promotional stunt. And give me a good reason why you call that a "career" talk? Why call it a "Career Week"?
Not a bad day after all. My foot.

Good Night
Mr.P: IU Night was held yesterday. That is all.
Me: No that is not all. I participated in it.
Mr. P: Oh did you?
Me: Yes I did. I helped the Interacters.
Mr. P: So that's an accomplishment?
Me: Oh yes, indeed.
Ah, IU Night. This event happens to happen every year. Can inaugural be used?
Anyway, I had arrived there rather early only because I had decided to walk my sis there. The moment I reached there, I was thrust into a web of intrigue.
Was supposed to "usher" people in, but what the heck. I paid 5 bucks not to show people to their seats but sit on seats. So there I was with Ken Vin and the silly BERK chop on my palm.
Anyway, it started with the national anthem followed by the Interact Song. "Interact Song"??? What the cucumber? You mean there actually is an interact song? I gotta listen to them sing it. Guess what? I heard whispers which were mostly blocking out the already inaudible murmur of the song. Guys, you have great Interacters for the record. Bla bla bla.
Fashion show, talent time...sigh. Zzzz. Wait! There was Nazeera's performance on Kelly Clarkson's Because of You? (I kinda forgot the song...) in which she tried too hard ( a Nazeera trait) and did, IMHO, quite well..(well, I do not plan to have a red tan mark on my back when I go back on Monday...) but unfortunately, people were booing. Losers...
Oh yeah, did I forget to mention, she brought this rather hot looking guy (I am not gay...) to school and I immediately bugged her about him.
"Who's dat hot guy?"
"Oh, one of my friends."
"Really? I thought he was your boy-friend.."
"No-lah!"
"Really? He a mix?"
"Pakistani mix.."
"What base are you guys at now??"
Hah. Hope readers understood what conspired.
Then there was this parody on Harry Potter. Freaking funny crap. It drove me bats...but unfortunately, according to Ramesh and gang, they sucked. Oh well, try again Hui Jien.
Another Harry Potter stunt on the catwalk was pulled off by none other than Sze Li Wei. He was posing as Harry Potter and said these long shitty strings of incantations I nearly barfed while I was recording using Boonz' vid cam. So damn funny.
Met Matthew there. At first I thought who the heck is this guy? Then realization dawned when he got called up for the BERK quiz. I met him in church....bummer.
All the "po"s came in from 7 onwards. Why so lame? Fashionably late my pink bottom.
While we were cleaning up, I complained to Ken Chong about the clowns who did not do anything (our school's Interactors..) and he retorted by saying that they did not come at 6.00 sharp and left at 9.30 sharp. Why, again, so lame? So there we were, busting our butts and backs.
Summing it all up, I think Amanda did pretty well. Congrats Miss Europe/America (where is she from originally..). Not bad for an event that was prepared in less than 1 week. Malaysians are last minute people. Heck.
Gonna have ESOL Speaking test tomorrow with Boonz as my partner (speaking partner...) and we will be comparing opinions on pictures that are not that interesting. Wish all of us best of luck..all the best people especially the guys in CPE i.e. Keegan, Jia Min, Wei and Shah.

the long wait
Finally, we arrive in the Windows comp lab, instead of the retarded Apple lab.
Gone are the days that we depend on the buttonless apple mouses.
Let me summarise the events of these past 2 weeks in no particular order.
1. Sat for the ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) exam. Sat for the CAE level (Certificate of Advanced English). This proves that my proficiency in English is quite good even though words that escape my mouth in moments of anger are not worh mentioning about.
2. Sat for the Abschlusstest. That is in German the Final Test. Well, it is the final test at least for my level. It was a blast, and today my mom's planning to ring them up to get the results.
3. Got started on some book about Project Paperclip; a project in which was conducted by the US Government right after the second World War. The original intention of the US Army was to siphon off the talents off these Nazi Scientist and benefit themselves instead. Ever wondered where the Sarin gas came from? Ask America. They used it in the Cold War. Of course it was invented by the Nazi.
4. I rediscovered some stupid online game I had invested soo much time in last time. "Sweet" and "nostalgic" memories awash me. I am a sucker for games.
5. Had cheese cake from one of the rich people's eating places yesterday: Starbucks.
6. Oh yeah, on another similar note, my sister made me remain back yesterday just to call some eateries for the Interact club in order to buy some vouchers. For the purpose of calling them, she used my phone. I want a full refund of RM10 from the Interact Club!!!!!!
7. As for IU Night, I have volunteered, as an honour-bound prefect, to "usher" in students from other schools to our beloved school: Sekolah Sri Garden.
IU Night
Date: 22 June 2007
Time: 5.30p.m.-9.30p.m.
Venue: Sekolah Sri Garden, Off Jalan Pria, Taman Maluri, Cheras 55100 KL.
Theme: One Night in London
Ticket Price: RM 10
I am not a sales manager neither am I an Interacter. In fact, I have said and I wish to say again, refund me.
That's all I guess. Maybe I also hope that the person owning the most reliable wireless in the world a.k.a. the neighbour I do not know, to please switch on the wireless once again and do not go on any vacations any longer as long as I, honourable resident of Pertiwi Indah live here.
