only eight people....

Yesterday, the inauguration of a ceremony: The Prefects' Gathering of Sekolah Sri Garden. Theme of the evening: REACH FOR THE STARS (personally I find it to be quite...lame? sry dharma...still, no one had any good ideas so the head had to make an executive decision...lol)

How many people were present (you may ask) for that prestigious event?

Uh, two schools?

Wow. How many prefects came from the schools?

Um....ah...ehe...eight?

0.0?

=.="

Yes, the prefects' gathering yesterday was attended by only eight people. Still as Amanda says, the show must go on (something to that effect..). It's better to go ahead with the games instead of not having any at all. After the speeches the 2 head honchos aka Jamie and Puan Hasnah filed out of the hall in a dignified manner. All hell broke loose. Literally.

The Amazing Banana Race Part 2
So fellow SSG prefects joined in. I thought, why the stupid title? Then Dharma brought out the big guns. They did look like guns:bananananananananas. There were combs and combs and combs of them. Ok. That was amazing.
After that Amanda and I were left to fend for ourselves as the participants received their instructions and ran out of the hall.
Some clues were kinda screwed up and the GMs manning the stations did not even have pens. wth. But never the less, we had put up a good show. That was after the girls from SBU left. For tuition. They were going to tuition in their sports attire and foul (garlicy) breath. Disgusting. Thank God I did not play the game. Haha! The benefits of being an emcee. Hah!
Dharma and Nazeera sang Destiny during the performances after the race. I mean, belted out 'their version' of Destiny. The mike Dharma was having was screwy. Nazeera, fortunately was not trying too hard...lo.
Nik Shazarina became the Ice Queen she really was. She had flour all over her. Mugen became an old man. Sanjeev was dripping from a mixture of flour and water. All of them had bad breaths. Except the emcees.

Give the head and dep head some due credit. tks to jamie too.
End of Part1.

Part2.
Today's visit to the disabled home was not as bad as I had envisioned it to be. Too bad Ken Vin did not come. It was raining like crap by the time we got there. Bottomline was, I kinda realised I might been taking things too lightly and for granted thus far. Had fun talking to them anyway.

Taylor's trip as crappy as it can possibly get..

With classmates such as these, sigh.
At least some people (like Amanda and Lek) were honest in saying that they will not be going to the stupid overamped promotional Taylors trip which was essentially a waste of time.

As I sat there listening to some stuff unrelated to the syllabus (at least I learnt something about particle motion...Li Wei, study more please!) and that was the only consolation. Wait, lunch was good too...because it was free.

Was just informed just now that the trip to Taylors was not compulsory...there they were coercing us into joining the bandwagon...(coerce is my word of the year).

The prefects' gathering is in circa 3 hours time. What will happen to all of us? Will there be at least a few schools turning up to at least give us some face? Or will we be EMBARASSED??

Haha, no doubt some people will be turning up, question is, how many?

Oh by the way, hopefully the 'Amazing Banana Race' is as good and as amazing as it is spelt.

The Ultra Fat Post (post number 88..fat fat)

Yes, an oh-so-auspicious post! Not that I believe in that crap.

Wait, today is Friday the Thirteenth!

So?

Yes, what utter nonsense. Here is an excerpt of an article I found on Wikipedia when I had typed "Friday the Thirteenth."

"

The popular painting of the Last Supper, with stories that Judas numbered among the thirteen guests (Jesus plus his 12 apostles), and that the Crucifixion of Jesus occurred Friday. However, Judas was not actually present for the latter part of the meal.

The Knights Templar:

One theory, recently offered up as historical fact in the novel The Da Vinci Code, holds that it came about not as the result of a convergence, but a catastrophe, a single historical event that happened nearly 700 years ago.

The catastrophe was the decimation of the Knights Templar, the legendary order of "warrior monks" formed during the Christian Crusades to combat Islam. Renowned as a fighting force for 200 years, by the 1300s the order had grown so pervasive and powerful it was perceived as a political threat by kings and popes alike and brought down by a church-state conspiracy, as recounted by Katharine Kurtz in Tales of the Knights Templar (Warner Books: 1995):

"On October 13, 1307, a day so infamous that Friday the 13th would become a synonym for ill fortune, officers of King Philip IV of France carried out mass arrests in a well-coordinated dawn raid that left several thousand Templars — knights, sergeants, priests, and serving brethren — in chains, charged with heresy, blasphemy, various obscenities, and homosexual practices. None of these charges was ever proven, even in France — and the Order was found innocent elsewhere — but in the seven years following the arrests, hundreds of Templars suffered excruciating tortures intended to force 'confessions,' and more than a hundred died under torture or were executed by burning at the stake."

"

Haha, that is just hearsay. Of course the arrests of the knights may be quite probable if there appears to be a significant number of historians supporting it. Here is another article. A very ridiculous one.

"
"It's been estimated that [U.S] $800 or $900 million is lost in business on this day because people will not fly or do business they would normally do." [4]

Some people are so paralyzed by fear that they are simply unable to get out of bed when Friday the 13th rolls around. The Stress Management Center and Phobia Institute estimates that more than 17 million people are affected by a fear of this day. [5] Despite that, representatives for both Delta and Continental Airlines say that their airlines don't suffer from any noticeable drop in travel on those Fridays. [6]

A British Medical Journal study has shown that there is a significant increase in traffic-related accidents on Friday the 13ths.[7]

"

How lame can people be? Go figure.

Oh yeah, on to my main points. (ala debate style)

1. The Elocution Contest in conjunction with Language Week has been postponed. Some may yell 'hoorah!!!' or some may say 'shit' depending on which side of the wheel you are on, the one on top (dont get dirty i.e. people who have been preparing) or on the bottom (gets the shit i.e. people who have been preparing and then the event gets postponed..). I am the former and latter meaning I have been doing last minute preparations but I have prepared quite a lot. (1 hour spent writing it...). Can human laugh and cry at the same time? Ask my sis.

2. I cannot believe this: Miss Tan and Qayyum whacked Li Wei and I at badminton. Oh God, here we have already been panting while we were playing with Qayyum and along came Ms Tan.

"Court empty ah? I want to play!"

Hoooo...shit.

3. Keegan has quite a temper. I suddenly realise that he is being overwhelmed by work given by teachers. Not that it suddenly began, it has taken its roots since he became class monitor for a few years in a row. A group of teachers had the inspiration to chuck all their work on a very helpful, very agreeable and kind young lad, Keegan Lee Guan Ru. Someone please help him.

4. Next week is the Prefects Gathering. We have called quite a number of schools to attend but so far I have heard that St Mary's is the only one to respond. -.-

5. Mosquitoes have been plaguing my room!!! Everywhere I go in the house I am greeted by one thirsty bloodsucker. Piece of cucumber! If I ever see one in school I will kill it. Then perhaps mount it onto a wall like I have done countless numbers in the toilet at home.

6. Not forgetting SSGMUN. It was kinda anticlimactic towards the end. What a bummer. The delegates were debating on only two topics and there was not much to write about. Nik said that the newsletters were good though. Thanks to Ming, my sis, and Andrea. Whew. Glad that is over.

SSGMUTINY

Ahoy there pirate, yessiree, we shall overthrow the captain of our ship today, Nik Shazarina a.k.a. Secretary General this very moment. Hyeho.
Nah, just kidding Nik, just in case you read it.

Yes, day 1 of The NATO conventions (SSGMUN actually, but Amanda understands what I mean) was exactly as I said it was. The opening speeches were quite dreary but overall, I had managed to amass a fortune of goodies also known as gossip, latest info on how to embarrass certain delegates. Nazeera was one of them. You would know by tomorrow, Nazi.

I had my fair share of stuttering delegates and "uh...ah..."ing delegates.
And, I had reported all of their bloopers just like Isabell Zubinsha instructed me to.

So delegates, beware of what you do or say tomorrow, my mobile spy and recon reporter a.k.a. the-silent-one -who-will-be-revealed-at-the-end-of-the-conference will be on the prowl.

Deputy Chair of GA1, Lek Ken Vin did not see much action but I trust you would be more excited tomorrow as Isabell has to more take rests. I better cross my fingers that we would have enough articles and stuff to write. I am sooo eager.

Head Reporter signing off.

Busy busy

Have I gotten myself too deep in the brown warm stuff?

There is SSGMUN (empty talk, no action) next week and there is also the Elocution Contest which is also, to my amazement and "horror" next week, in conjunction with what we call, Language Week. Well, well. These are the topics that are put forward by Amanda and Keegan:

Music makes the world go round.
Academic results are our topmost priority. Discuss.
Green is the colour.
Laughter is the best medicine.
Punctuality.
Freedom of speech.

The abundance of topics and the freshness of my mind to this newness makes these topics very intimidating. Oh heaven.

I am soo Thrilled!

One of the only things worth mentioning yesterday was that during Physical Ed, our new and latest PE teacher, Miss-whatshername...? delayed us all from playing our badminton. Ok, maybe it did not affect me much, but you should see Boonz and Dharma. They were incensed, angry, pissed, mad, furious. Whichever word floats your boat, they were pissed all right. And Mr Joseph was going along with her plans with a resigned tone which I think she should learn to recognise...=.= I feel sorry for him.

Today, we wasted 2 periods practicing for a dance we did not practice. Sounds too complicated for your limited brain space devoted to analysing? (ok, that felt real mean...) Meaning we were not practicing for 2 whole periods=1 hour and a half...When we finally did, I finally managed to hear the song of my childhood i.e. Michael Jackson's Thriller. I have seen the MTV when I was little, and I thought that pae looked rather cool as a skeleton.

Oh yeah, and Amanda is purportedly gonna learn the dance steps by tomorrow. Haha, we will see.

And there was that ho-hum talk about Actuarial Science. You shitting me? Almost 2 hours were spent on talking about Taylor's ADP program and actuarial science was..almost nonexistent. A promotional stunt. And give me a good reason why you call that a "career" talk? Why call it a "Career Week"?

Not a bad day after all. My foot.

Good Night

Mr.P: IU Night was held yesterday. That is all.

Me: No that is not all. I participated in it.

Mr. P: Oh did you?

Me: Yes I did. I helped the Interacters.

Mr. P: So that's an accomplishment?

Me: Oh yes, indeed.

Ah, IU Night. This event happens to happen every year. Can inaugural be used?
Anyway, I had arrived there rather early only because I had decided to walk my sis there. The moment I reached there, I was thrust into a web of intrigue.

Was supposed to "usher" people in, but what the heck. I paid 5 bucks not to show people to their seats but sit on seats. So there I was with Ken Vin and the silly BERK chop on my palm.

Anyway, it started with the national anthem followed by the Interact Song. "Interact Song"??? What the cucumber? You mean there actually is an interact song? I gotta listen to them sing it. Guess what? I heard whispers which were mostly blocking out the already inaudible murmur of the song. Guys, you have great Interacters for the record. Bla bla bla.

Fashion show, talent time...sigh. Zzzz. Wait! There was Nazeera's performance on Kelly Clarkson's Because of You? (I kinda forgot the song...) in which she tried too hard ( a Nazeera trait) and did, IMHO, quite well..(well, I do not plan to have a red tan mark on my back when I go back on Monday...) but unfortunately, people were booing. Losers...
Oh yeah, did I forget to mention, she brought this rather hot looking guy (I am not gay...) to school and I immediately bugged her about him.

"Who's dat hot guy?"
"Oh, one of my friends."
"Really? I thought he was your boy-friend.."
"No-lah!"
"Really? He a mix?"
"Pakistani mix.."
"What base are you guys at now??"

Hah. Hope readers understood what conspired.

Then there was this parody on Harry Potter. Freaking funny crap. It drove me bats...but unfortunately, according to Ramesh and gang, they sucked. Oh well, try again Hui Jien.

Another Harry Potter stunt on the catwalk was pulled off by none other than Sze Li Wei. He was posing as Harry Potter and said these long shitty strings of incantations I nearly barfed while I was recording using Boonz' vid cam. So damn funny.

Met Matthew there. At first I thought who the heck is this guy? Then realization dawned when he got called up for the BERK quiz. I met him in church....bummer.

All the "po"s came in from 7 onwards. Why so lame? Fashionably late my pink bottom.

While we were cleaning up, I complained to Ken Chong about the clowns who did not do anything (our school's Interactors..) and he retorted by saying that they did not come at 6.00 sharp and left at 9.30 sharp. Why, again, so lame? So there we were, busting our butts and backs.

Summing it all up, I think Amanda did pretty well. Congrats Miss Europe/America (where is she from originally..). Not bad for an event that was prepared in less than 1 week. Malaysians are last minute people. Heck.

Gonna have ESOL Speaking test tomorrow with Boonz as my partner (speaking partner...) and we will be comparing opinions on pictures that are not that interesting. Wish all of us best of luck..all the best people especially the guys in CPE i.e. Keegan, Jia Min, Wei and Shah.

the long wait

Finally, we arrive in the Windows comp lab, instead of the retarded Apple lab.
Gone are the days that we depend on the buttonless apple mouses.
Let me summarise the events of these past 2 weeks in no particular order.

1. Sat for the ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) exam. Sat for the CAE level (Certificate of Advanced English). This proves that my proficiency in English is quite good even though words that escape my mouth in moments of anger are not worh mentioning about.

2. Sat for the Abschlusstest. That is in German the Final Test. Well, it is the final test at least for my level. It was a blast, and today my mom's planning to ring them up to get the results.

3. Got started on some book about Project Paperclip; a project in which was conducted by the US Government right after the second World War. The original intention of the US Army was to siphon off the talents off these Nazi Scientist and benefit themselves instead. Ever wondered where the Sarin gas came from? Ask America. They used it in the Cold War. Of course it was invented by the Nazi.

4. I rediscovered some stupid online game I had invested soo much time in last time. "Sweet" and "nostalgic" memories awash me. I am a sucker for games.

5. Had cheese cake from one of the rich people's eating places yesterday: Starbucks.

6. Oh yeah, on another similar note, my sister made me remain back yesterday just to call some eateries for the Interact club in order to buy some vouchers. For the purpose of calling them, she used my phone. I want a full refund of RM10 from the Interact Club!!!!!!

7. As for IU Night, I have volunteered, as an honour-bound prefect, to "usher" in students from other schools to our beloved school: Sekolah Sri Garden.
IU Night
Date: 22 June 2007
Time: 5.30p.m.-9.30p.m.
Venue: Sekolah Sri Garden, Off Jalan Pria, Taman Maluri, Cheras 55100 KL.
Theme: One Night in London
Ticket Price: RM 10

I am not a sales manager neither am I an Interacter. In fact, I have said and I wish to say again, refund me.

That's all I guess. Maybe I also hope that the person owning the most reliable wireless in the world a.k.a. the neighbour I do not know, to please switch on the wireless once again and do not go on any vacations any longer as long as I, honourable resident of Pertiwi Indah live here.

The Big Buildup

When something builds up over time: be it anger, pressure, stress.
There will be consequences...like this one.
Let me begin with a statement:

This Is THE MOST Mundane Holiday I have ever had!

Let me first begin with last week...hmm.
Well, I DO noe that Boonz birthday had passed. But I did not send him a little message...nothing!
Well, here it is: Happy Belated Birthday Boonz aka Vince.

Went with Euu Min and her bro Eeu Jin to watch Blades of Glory. Initially I was quite unsure. I mean, what can men dressed in tight leotards be worth a watch? Bloody sissy lah. There were a bunch of "po"s at the back. (See, the word "po" was coined up by yours one and only truly which was used to replace the word "lala" which meant girls or guys who dress up like they feel in the mood for camwhoring when they are in the mall. Got the idea from Teletubbies: There's Tinky winky, Dipsy, Lala, and Po. So, instead of lala, i say po. And good thing is, my sis picks it up fairly quick. I dont watch retarded aliens by the way, my sister does.)
So, these "po"s are a bunch of Malay girls (not that I am a sexist or a rascist) who scream at almost everything. They were displaying some stupid trailer about some silly horror movie that looks like something about a ventriloquist: something like Chucky's Revenge...wth

So there was this something about Charles "Chazz" Michael Michaels who sang My Humps while exercising. Like I said, it was a show, basically, with no basic substance..funny but forgettable.

But of course before that we were busy lining up to get the tickets for POTC which I was anticipating for so long, only to end up buying some mediocre film ticket...ok, mebbe I was too harsh. Still...

But of course in the course of my slow pacing holidays, I managed to finish Christine and From a Buick 8. Ah, The Shadow Of The Wind was absolutely gripping too. Courtesy of Ng Wei Li.

Oh yeah, I finished Lost Seasons 1 and 2 with my sis in between of meals:lunch and dinner. But unfortunately Season 3, my sister explicitly said, was reserved for after SPM. Still, thanks to Keegan for those long hours of entertainment.

Michael Crichton's Jurassic Park was also a blast! I lifted it off my uncle's old books. Ok, my mom had the initiative of doing that instead. I benefited.

Nazi's 501 Must Read Books also deserves praise.

My personal book of MUST READ books:
War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy
Next by Michael Crichton

Ok, I will not be too full of expectations. I thrive on books.
School's due on Monday. Oh joy.

Monday, 28 May 2007

Finally...a time to post!

no timethere
Yours truly has been truly busy these past few days...ok....weeks right after the exam. Prefects camp was right after the exam. Ok, no time there. Came back home only to be greeted by the 1 thing I love the most. Books. Ok, I love many other things and people but I am trying to stress a point...duh!

Things I got for my birthday:
2 books by Stephen King by Ken Vin (thanks a milll!!!!):
Christine
From a Buick 8
1 book from Nazi:
501 Must-Read Books
A lil card from my sis:

According to her, I am still her "baby" bro and she asked me not to mind the "baby"ness of the card....it's a home made card!

Do not mind the spontaneity of this little post. I am trying to warm up to post more better posts. Notice I used "more better". According to Encik Iskhandar it would be a redundant word but I really am trying. So just to assure all my few but avid readers out there.

Wei Li lent me a book: The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon

This book is originally a Spanish one but was translated. IMHO, I feel that the book has not lost its originality and "detective" style. Love it. Wanna find out why? Ask Wei Li to lend it to you once I am done.

Went to Taylors College today for the College Life In A Day program. Quite insightful but quite shallow.

Knocks the stuffing out of me.

What happened today

I failed, unsurprisingly for Add Maths and Chem. Again. I have a record of fails for the past 2 years in the above subjects. I have never passed those subjects when it comes to assessments. Gotta get that remedial class started with Geetha.

Today was kinda childish in a way. Jae Rong brought his Canon camera (and it shot pictures like it's namesake) and guess who was the engineer-turned-architect-turned-designer-turned-paparazzi.
Kelvin Choo Kay Weng.
Click click click away Tan Sri. Every teacher which came in, he took. Sigh.
Oh yeah, and another discovery. Kae Yeon aka Koh Kyean called me a faggot. Ken Vin...you are a bad bad influence on your aunty.

On to my next point. (this sounds like a stupid debate speech..I hate debates.)
Government school people are quite nice students admittedly. Although a minority of them would be quite huge assholes. A life example. A couple of government school boys (judging from their yet-unbroken-voices) threw their ice from their plastic packet drinks into the canteen where us people (the entire RTG and some NAM people aka my sis, Ming, Wei and Keshinn) were discussing our moral project. (Nasir excluded, she was "pat gua"ing around) Kelvin as his paparazziness would allow him, actually climbed the canteen wall without destroying it to take some pictures as evidence. I almost wished that the wall crumbled so we could have made a lunge at those stupid boys. With Mr. Universe (Dharma), Boon "Vince" Hong, Ken "Jaerong" Vin, Nazeera "Nazi" Nasir and last but not least Li "Ofifia" Wei with us, I believed we could take them on single handedly. Too bad it did not crumble.

Sucks to you asses.

(moral pix went fine by the way, except that we were not able to do the gardening pics.)

3 movies, 3 sequels, 1 winner....

Movie #1

Movie #2

Movie #3

And the winner (IMHO...In My Honest Opinion) is.....drum rolls please...
*brrrrrrrrrrr
*gong sounding
The Bourne Ultimatum!!
Hooo yes! Action packed shooting scenes! Those brutally cruel cold blooded killings. I mean silencing of assholes. I am not quite a fan of the dead and I do not celebrate death. In fact, I am a pretty peaceable guy. More like a pacifist. I think killing wastes God's talent. But this is a SHOW!! A Hollywood scam. So why not enjoy it to the fullest? I would give 10 points to this show out of 10 without even having a peek at the trailer. The "yeng"ness of the cold and calculated kills he "bestows" upon his asshole former co-workers who wanted to resurrect the Treadstone Project. All in all, the first 2 were such good watches I would bet my facial hair on the third to be a major blockbuster...(not that I have THAT much facial hair...)
Do not disappoint me Matt Damon.

Okok. Pirates are the ones I am also rooting for. They come second. Though I guarantee you that Bloom is gonna be as gay as all the previous Pirate films he made. He hardly seemed like a heterosexual even when he was going to marry Knightley aka Elizabeth Swan. What gay antics. The shirt half ripped in the rain in Pirates 2. Jumping into the water clothes yet again half ripped during the destruction of the "fastest ship in the Caribbean" when they tried to blow up Mr. Squid. Depp was far a better actor and still is compared to Bloom. Check out who's older in the entertainment industry. Rating of 9 for the action and 0 for 1 particular actor that Jia Min is sooo fond of.

Last but not least of the sequels, Shrek 3. I kept spelling it Schreck 3 when I was Googling the movie for picture posters. For all it's despised saccharine-ness (IMHO) it is still a pretty great watch. I mean the first 2 ones. Dunno about this third. And yes, I will not be betting my facial hair on it.

Do any of you know the actual reason I am betting my facial hair? Because I got my inspiration from a guy named Zachary Hon. he came up to us (RTG) and asked this stupid question and answered it himself that fateful day.

"Do any of you ever consider shaving all your facial and body hair?"
Nobody answered naturally.

His answer:"I do. I want to shave all my body hair so I can look like a reptile."
Haha. Yeah, go ahead. Next thing we know you would be asking whether it will be alright to shave ur pubic hair or something. Wait. That comes under body hair doesn't it Zach? All of it has to go in order for you to look like a reptile.

P.S.
If you are reading this, I thank you sooo much for giving me the inspiration to type it out. Now, march to the bathroom with those pair of shears.

Dont tell me Ill tell u...

Not much to blog about but this:
See, last Sunday, us peeps went to Jusco. Ok. That was after church in the morning (the old faithful...), Sungei Wang and finally at the aforementioned location. Just to shop for groceries. Unfortunately we went there at a "mega sale". Meaning, all J-card holders get a discounted price as the store is trying to clear up their stocks. Malaysians, being the suckers we are, rush headlong into the fray attempting to secure a great "discount" not actually knowing that some stores actually cheat the customers by upping the price discreetly. You know what I mean.

We were running out of trolleys! It was utter chaos there. Humans swarmed around all seemingly bent on the task of "securing a good deal". Like I said, no trolleys to push your stuff along. I was entrusted with the job of finding us a trolley. Being the genius I was, I strolled outside to where people are unloading their bags of stuff into their cars, thus leaving empty, usable trolleys. Great deal, I thought. I saw a trolley about to be pushed away from the car. Animal instincts kicking in, I rushed to it. Ok. An old man who must have been the family's father or something came wheeling the trolley in. "Ok. I am gonna take over from here," I thought. Speaking in Canton, a rare occasion, I asked to have the trolley as I needed it and safely assumed they stopped using it. Then surprise. Below is a translated version of the events that ensued.

"Hey, you done with that already? I need to use it. Just give it to me thanks."

"What? You are a worker here? Nono. I am not done with it."

"But I thought you had used it finish."

"Who the heck do you think I am? A worker here? I need to use it too..."

"Ok...sorry...*sheesh..."

As the guy entered the store, he was greeted by a needy looking wife and son who was nonchalantly listening to some mp3 player. They were desperate but so was I. What could I have done??

Still. I feel thankful I have not gone too far on the kiasu attitude. This guy actually helped the other family lug in their goods so that he would be able to get the trolley. We Malaysians help with the enthusiasm of a work ox if we are guaranteed some profits. Other times when it does not seem to benefit us in any way, we leave it as it is until someone begs for our help.

Take for instance a pregnant woman in a public bus or train. She walks into the carriage and is forced to stand because people do not wish to give up their seat. Not even one of the adults offer their seat, save for a little girl. What does this woman have to do huh? Come into the carriage and shout an offer of ten bucks for someone to offer their seat? I guarantee you, almost everyone's self honour is that low a price to buy. Why not offer your seat before she asks?

On to today. I was forced to play the part of Tzu Ken in our choral speaking because he went for chess. It was pretty funny actually. Boonz is like that tall. And I am like, that tall. We were supposed to look down at Tzu Ken and up at Boonz to differentiate between them both but since Tzu Ken is not there, I had to squat a little for people to look at me. After all, rehearsals are supposed to look real. So I had to be as short as Tzu Ken..:P

We learnt this Garage Band thingy and you know what happens when people like Lek and Kel discover those Arabic or Hindi sounding tunes. Yes they ask Dharma to dance to the beat. As an insult. "Eh Dharma! Indian!" The phrase "You're fired!" comes next.
At first the phrase was "You're fired to me already." But he seemed to have shortened it.

This is the last post of this month and mebbe next month. Bleeding exams. Played dota a little and hated it. So bored already playing with the stupid AI.

Thursday, 19 April 2007

That shirt is not dry. That one is smelly. Wash it again.

A stupid title. Randomness at it's best.

Today was crammed with assessments.

I was stationed in the lobby this morning with Michelle and Mr. Loy who was shouting to people to tap in their cards. Do these things actually need to be told to students? Stuff like "Please pick up your plates" and "Please tap in!!!"(ala Loy-Seng-Poh style) need not be mentioned to humans. Like how Mr Wan says "Semua manusia....." meaning only humans can understand and carry out these "tasks". I have nothing to say for those who choose not to do these fundamentally understood tasks. Orang bukan manusia. What a contradiction.

Then Puan Rok decided to surprise us with a test. Ok. Everyone thought it was a test. But how could it be? It was meant for Form 4SC2 and it's stated there on the paper. Rupa-rupanya we were actually doing disposed questions which meant that they were extras. And the plus point is, it is not an assessment. Bummer. Chee June was yelling "HAH???!!!" when she saw the paper. We usually expect the same people to say and complain about the same things. Looks like I was right. "Ahh nonono. Aiyah sure fail wan ah. I veli stupid wan." Guess who said that.

During the first 15 minutes of the Sejarah paper, Mr Rama was talking some stuff about sex and freedom of sexual speech and crap. Kelvin was going on and on about Malaysians being the most satisfied people on the planet because of sex. 40% Malaysians are satisfied about their sex life. Some smartass also quoted some crap about Japanese having the least pleasure and satisfaction about their sex life. They could sue me for writing this. Who says history and sex don't mix?

Mr Khoo took it in his stride to provide us with the formulae of electricity and stuff. Yet I did not manage to finish all the questions. Piss. Thank God Adenan rescheduled his assessment for next week. I hardly had enough time to study for Physics and play some comp games at the same time. Of course I prioritised. Comp games first.

Bio was hilarious. Jammy told us all not to copy but even if we did we are cheating to ourselves and I quote "menipu diri sendiri" and she still took it in her stride to tell us to shut our text and reference books. The duty of a teacher is never finished. She even cared if we cheated ourselves!! Sob! I feel so touched and you should too....haha. At least she was not like Miss Lim. I will tell you about that in the after the next 1 paragraph.

Ms Ranjita or Rajita or howver you spell her name was supposed to come to our class to help us with our choral speaking. Alas she never made it within a kilometer of our class. She wanted to see ("speak to" people..."SPEAK TO" NOT SEEEE!!! "Can I please see so-and-so?" yeah sure. but you are not allowed to speak to him/her. hah!) Kelvin and later he could not find her. Now who's seeing who? So no choral speaking practice. And it is on the 12th of May if I am not mistaken. We Malaysians are last minute people. That reminds me. Mr Wan wants the Laporan Kerja Amal on dunno when. Oh well.

After finishing my omelette with chinese sausages and salad and rice meal for lunch, and after that silly little mixup on who sees who, came Miss Lim's lesson. Assessment time. What joy.
I screwed up a little on the answer and guess what? I am the 1st person to get the lowest marks in the whole form. 77%. Oh joy. Please be more careful next time bub....and of course I did not get away with it that easily. She accused me of being cocky "Who ask you to be so action and talk so much with your friends? See now you get lauya results. So lauya want ah you." HAHAHA! damnit. It is really funny to get scolded by this teacher. Do not ask me why. Ask Kelvin. Oh yeah and do not forget to remind him to "say something stupid Kel..".

I love the sound of an organ.

sniff...

Had sports on Friday. It was such a blast...I mean literally. At first we went and fetched Yin Lin and went to the Cheras Football Stadium. We were supposed to climb up a mini "bukit" and jump over a little drain and Yin Lin was screaming her head off about being scared and all that. What a joke. It took her more than 5 seconds to convince herself that my sis and I made it over and were sauntering to the complex and she should buck up or be left behind. Haiah. So lauya.

Did the prefect march pass. It was the lamest march I ever took part in. Zero coordination. What a last minute affair. To cut the long story short, it was so hot that day and I was standing in the field trying to determine whether people were disqualified or not during the track events. In short, I was Mr. Umpire for the day. Went back in Lek's C-class Mercs. With an aching back of course.

Today was no better. To replace the aching back, I had a nasal problem. Sneezing like some idiot. During the WHOLE day. Oh yeah, and Keegan took my calculator. For the weekend and I got it back only today. Being without a calculator while doing Add Maths is like waltzing around naked. That was the point I passed on to him, much to his disbelieve and he said that I could share the calculator with my sis. What an ASS. I want bebola soup now Jia Min!!!!

*achoo

I feel that now I must start all blog titles with curse words but then again, my mom would say I hav great vocab, why waste ur talent? for fun...

What a disastrous morning. Got all sweaty in my prefect uniform and arrived at school. Thank goodness it was just 8 flights of stairs to get to my class. That's quite near is it not? After taking a million steps to the 4th floor, I am greeted by really colourful classmates. In house T-shirts. What the hell. I rush to get changed into my house tee and guess what happens when I get back? We have to get down to the school hall for an "impromptu" assembly. Damn it, our school is getting really good at doing this last minute shit.

We were all briefed about sports day and the morning's agenda. Oh I anticipated this day! I did! Really! Rriiigght. I did not anticipate the sports practice or anything. You should have seen the prefects marching. What a Laugh Out Loud. Embarrassment. Humiliation. So few prefects want to march.

On more happier notes, I got this:

Hahaha! Oh yes! Reading time. Homework? Take a backseat.

Books will be the bane of my studies, but the essence of my soul! sob!! (my ass you melodramatic queen, i mean king..)

I have finished A Year in The Merde in less than 2 days. What brilliance! Oh yeah! Oh MY God. This book is really one of a kind. Specialising in spilling the beans in a journalist's point of view and not less an account of a spicy diary, this book certainly rocks. A classic read but unfortunately it is not meant for people who do not appreciate interracial activities (find out what kinda activities I am talking about..hehe..). Definitely a good read..(I am starting to have a book reviews blog like Jia Min...)

In-All-Obviousness:
This book is certainly one of my most favourite that came from a Jap author (not discriminating or anything, but it is just that I rarely read translated stuff unless it is really good literature as translated works lose their shine after people happen to translate it and in order for a novel to be great, it has to have a lot more and more shine so it will not dull after translation...what long windedness). Baseless accusations on this novel made by yet-again-bloom's-oh-so-unappreciative-wife Jia Min are indeed a waste of time. This book does not cover porn or any indecent acts but a whole lot more wholesome reading fun. It leaves the readers to imagine for themselves what it is like to be in Kafka's oh-so-exciting world. This book is not porn! It's literature glazed with a bit of sugary goodness (or badness whichever way you look at it) and my metaphors are as good as his already. Got a hell of an imagination? Get this book from Keegan or Wei Li of Form 5Sc1.

And on to my main points which are accumulated throughout this oh-so-graciously-pissy day.

1. Parents, let us all do an assessment on your child's behaviour in and out of the house. Ok.
In The House: The oh-so-holy-and-sweet-angel: your child.
Out Of The House: The oh-so-holy-shit-devil: also, alas, your child.
What is this? A case of Jekyll and Hyde-ism? No parents. It is your dysfunctional family upbringing. Blame yourselves and come the day when you look at God in the eye, do not ever said that you had tried your best, liar.
Reasons: This little twit this morning came over to where I was standing like a statue just to give a public speech on how "my Godbro was insulted and adding that it took someone of that stature to bring him down" as I told him as he was rushing up the stairs to chase the devil (or rather go up to class) not to be so childish. Naturally, his retort was as stated above. His little sentences carefully concocted to hurt the mightiest of people did little to even graze me though it actually meant that he wanted to make me lose my dignity. Rather, I have lost my hope in our future generation. Guys, those of you who deem yourselves as smart better leave the country and get a pr in some other place. With kids like these you can expect chaos instead of peace to reign during their rule.
During my rule over the stairs during lunch, came along this uncouth kid who said some Cantonese sentences thinking that me, an English speaking Chinese who does not appreciate his roots would not be able to understand (of course I seeked clarification later from Tan Sri Choo). He actually cursed my whole entire family six feet underground. Meaning he hoped for them to die aka "ham ka chan?" whoo. My hope loosed further. God please help me not to deface the prefectorial board's name and give further excuse for someone else to saunter in as a "special guest" to comment on the prefectorial board's inadequacy and disability to have something called intrapersonal skills aka give that guy an oh-so-neat kick in his family descendants line (you know what I mean).

Do not think we are helpless just because we do not dish out justice. Just give me the word, and I will wreak havoc, I promise you all that. No mercy from me, ever again.

Saturday, 31 March 2007

Hah. This will be the 70th post. I am well on my way to a hundred and nothing can stop me! Well, except maybe if you happen to include time, studies, running out of stupid ideas and last but not least my mom.
I will call for mercy to rain down this very moment if I have the ability to do so. Save me from this oh-so-imminent destruction. The will to focus on studying now is so fickle I can hardly stop thinking of books. Novels to be precise. Which brings me to my next point. (Ok, I am starting to sound like Dharma and Kelvin with all their factual essay words coming into play in short narratives. What the heck. I mean, how can you insert crap like "furthermore" into a narrative or short story at the beginning of a new paragraph? Save that for the stupid factuals. Hope everyone learns something from this little snide comment and not repeat that stupid mistake.)

Next point: I have finished Kafka on The Shore. For the second time. What an achievement. When I first read it I was what? 15 years old? Now I am approaching that oh-so-sweet-n-sour sixteen which to me sounds like some kinda candy (sweet sixteen? too girly...I prefer sexy sixteen...) I happen to understand that novel far better. All those little metaphors and deep stuff. The way the novel turned out towards the end was kind of depressing and sad. As of all novels I have read. It usually ends up in someone or a group of people dying. I think Jia Min and Keegan agree with me when I say that Miss Saeki's death is a real waste after all those little "favours" she had been giving Kafka. What a waste right? hehe...I do believe that Haruki Murakami is a good writer. Reading his novels are like some kind of an other world experience, just like Stephen King. It takes a lot for people to impress me. I show like I have some liking to some people and try to be nice. But unfortunately some people fail to live up to my expectations. Still, we live and let live.

Next book coming up!!!
A Year in Merde by Stephen Clarke. We will just have to see if this novel is as equally sexy as Kafka on Ze Shore....Wit would be a plus, after all that depressing crap from Ze Shore.

"My parents taught me to b nasty to those who r nasty to me, hey, im just defending myself.."

The day before yesterday's events are still fresh in here. Actually, it is occupying that little space I have set aside for retaining studies and the like. As the title suggests, I am actually reiterating (going all MUN) what I have heard from some sources, whose credibility is quite known to be true. Man oh man, that screwed up guy's little doting elders have really run aground of that sand bank. Let's face it. We all come from not-so-perfect families. But of course, there are those who are wise enough to release their frustration in a more civilized and constructive manner. Unlike those who give a tight slap to whoever they please. If I had my way I would go around school like an asshole prefect just because of the shit I am having here but point is, I do not. And neither should anyone. In fact, I am beginning to feel that old and oh-so-familiar feeling coming back again. Life should be exciting.

I currently have tangled with 3 'gangs' of students who wish to exert their presence as clowns of the earth and my court jesters. Reason: the very same one that got Ken Vin his oh-so-nice present...ask him, I do not wish to publicly embarrass him.
See, people such as these do not dispose of the very essential things we call eating utensils which include plates and crockery. And we prefects are given the honour to kindly request that they dispose of them at the appointed places. So basically, an essential part of the prefect workforce is being used to ask people to pick up after themselves. Which actually makes me a true slavedriver. Yes, I am given the power to ask people to pick up after their shit which their maids and whoever usually does for them at home. Perfected silence.

Finally!

It is buzzing with chatter and noise, like some kinda supermarket. Do not be surprised, this is the usual atmosphere in our school hall, Dewan Datuk Doktor Loy Hean Heong. Haha. What great discipline we seniors show to our juniors.

Nik was being scary again. Not that I am afraid of her, but see. The thing is I HATE (another hate) seeing people disappointed or annoyed (but of course, I frequently get annoyed and disappointed...and I make no attempt to hide it except in front of special people..). And she is the queen of "shut up"s and "whatever"s. The MUN meeting was nothing out of the ordinary. The usual laughs in the class AND Miss Mabil dishing out some ultimatums.

Other than that, I nearly slept in Maths. Miss Lim was teaching us like some kindergarten children, using that voice. Haha. No offence Miss Lim.
